17. A  bag  contains  18  balls  out  of  which  x  balls  are  white.

(ii)  If  2  more  white  balls  are  put  in  the  bag,  the  probability  of  drawing  a  white  ball  will  
be  9/8  times  that  of  probability  of  white  ball  coming  in  part  (i).  Find  the  value  of  x.  
 
18. All  face  cards  of  spades  are  removed  from  a  pack  of  52  playing  cards  and  the  pack  is  
shuffled  well.    A  card  is  drawn  from  the  remaining  pack.  Find  the  probability  of

19. Two  cards  of  hearts  and  4  cards  of  spades  are  missing  from  a  pack  of  52  cards.  A  card  
is  drawn  at  random  from  the  remaining  pack.  What  is  the  probability  of  getting

20. The  king  ,  queen  and  jack  of  clubs  are  removed  from  a  deck  of  52  playing  cards  and

21. All  the  jacks,  queens  and  kings  are  removed  from  a  pack  of  52  playing  cards.  The

23. Ravi  plays  a  game  in  which  he  has  to  draw  one  ball  from  a  box  containing  4  red,  3  
white  and  3  green  balls.  On  drawing  a  white  ball  Ravi  is  rewarded  with  Rs  10.  On  
drawing  a  red  ball  Ravi  is  to  pay  a  penalty  of  Rs  5  and  in  other  cases  there  is  neither  
any  reward  nor  penalty.  Find        (a)  P(  Ravi  is  rewarded  Rs  10  )            
(b)  P(  Ravi  does  not  lose)    (c)  P(Ravi  pays  a  penalty  of  Rs  5)  
 
24. In  a  game  ,  the  entry  fees  is  Rs  50.  The  game  consists  of  a  tossing  a  coin  three  times.  If  
one  or  two  heads  show  ,  Sweta  gets  her  entry  fee  back.  If  she  throws  3  heads,  she  
receives  double  the  entry  fees.  Otherwise  she  will  loose.  For  tossing  a  coin  three  
times,  find  the  probability  that  she

25. A  box  contains  90  discs  which  are  numbered  from  1  to  90.  If  one  disc  is  drawn  at
