The monitoring tool for Demo class evaluates master trainers and mentor teachers based on few

key performance indicators (KPIs) using a 1-5 rating scale. The overall comments of this Demo
class falls under those KPIs based on the evaluation criteria and those are Lesson Planning &
Preparation, Classroom Management, Teaching Instruction & Content Delivery and Student
Engagement & Feedback. A summary of performance of 10 random participants is taken to
overlook their strengths and areas to improve.

Strengths:

1. Lesson Planning & Preparation:


o Great preparation of materials, including charts and relevant icebreakers.
o Clear objectives for the class, though they were not always shared with students.
2. Classroom Management:
o Strong voice projection and use of positive reinforcement.
o Inclusive, engaging atmosphere with well-maintained class rules.
o Effective management of class timing, ensuring smooth transitions.
3. Teaching Instruction & Content Delivery:
o Use of visual aids and real objects to engage students.
o Clear and detailed explanations, with an added advantage of using the Burmese
language for better comprehension.
o Smooth transitions between activities.
4. Student Engagement & Feedback:
o Interactive class activities, including calling on random students to read aloud and
incorporating debate activities.
o Asking open-ended questions to encourage thinking.

Areas to Improve:

1. Lesson Planning & Preparation:


o Some participants spent too much time on ice-breaking activities, potentially
affecting class time.
o Looking at the clock during the session, which may distract from focus.
o Greater flexibility and friendliness would enhance the overall atmosphere.
2. Classroom Management:
o More eye contact is needed to maintain engagement.
o Some students did not actively participate in group work.
o Teachers need to take stronger control of the class at times.
3. Teaching Instruction & Content Delivery:
o Avoiding unnecessary explanations that may cause the lesson to lose focus.
o Provide more in-depth content delivery to support deeper learning.
o Ensure clearer instructions for group activities.
o The class could benefit from being more dynamic to keep students fully engaged.
4. Student Engagement & Feedback:
o Increase the frequency of open-ended questions to foster more interaction.
o Some classes missed a feedback session, which would help improve the overall
experience for students.
