Ans. BIM stand for Building Information Modelling. We use BIM for Creating and Managing
Digital 3D Models and Documentation.
It allows architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to work together more
effectively by sharing information in a common data environment.
By using BIM, project teams can improve accuracy, reduce errors, and enhance coordination,
leading to better project outcomes.
Ans: ACC is stand for Autodesk Construction Cloud. It’s a platform designed to connect
different teams and store data for every stage of construction. Also provide real time Data
analysis.
Ans: LOD stand for Level of Development, which indicate different stages of development in
Project, LOD starts from 100, 200, 300, 400, 500.
In LOD 200 Provides basic model with approx. sizes and shapes quantities
LOD 300 is a Detailed Design stage with specific systems, objects, and assemblies, including
accurate quantities, sizes, shapes, and locations.
LOD 400 is a Ready to Construction Stage, at this stagein project we provide specific Items
with complete fabrication assembly and detailed information.
LOD 500 is As Built Stage, prepared after completion of project as per site/project.
Then select Template file (Commonly we use company given Templates) if not available we
will use system default template for HVAC (if we are setting up project for HVAC).
Select Within your network if we are using local server. And click ok.
Worksets can be used to control the visibility of elements in a project. You can turn worksets
on or off to focus on specific parts of the project.
Ans: In Revit, filters are used to control the visibility of elements in a view. They help you
manage and organize your model by highlighting or hiding elements.
Filters are also used for Coloring different objects in model, we can also control objects in
view through Filters.
Parameters are used to store and manage information about elements in your model.
Project Parameter can be used within the project and can be used for elements within the
project.
Shared parameters are custom parameters that can be used across multiple families and
projects.
Instance Parameters are applied to only one instance of a family which we have used in
project.
Type Parameters are applied to all instance of a family which we have used in project.
Click on the Link Revit button. This will open a file browser.
We have to choose positioning options. we can select options like Auto - Center to
Center, Auto - Origin to Origin, Auto -By shared Coordinates and Auto – Project Base Point to
Project Base Point positioning. Commonly we use By Shared Coordinates system to link file
to existing model. (if coordinates are published)
Then select Template file (Commonly we use company given Templates) if not available we
will use system default template for HVAC (if we are setting up project for HVAC).
After opening model, we have to save the file first.
Select Within your network if we are using local server. And click ok.
Then we have to link Arch and structure models to link we have to Go to the Insert Tab

Than we have to copy monitor Gids and Levels, after that we have to set up project browser
to setup we will go to View Tab, then plan view, chose floor plan, select floors which are
required , than go to edit type, select or create view template and click ok , we have to
repeat this step to create all required views in project browser.
