Assignment description Task 1: Students must take any 5 mutual funds and note their past
annual returns with an incremental assumption project future return
for the next 5 years. Calculate the present value of such cash inflows
that will take place in the future at an expected rate of return based on
your assumption. Comment on the current price of the mutual fund as
compared to the Present value of future returns.
Task 2: Students shall take any 5 listed companies and compute the
following ratios for the last 5 years 1. Profitability ratio, 2. Liquidity
ratios, 3. Solvency Ratio, 4. Activity Ratios. After computing the
ratios for the last five years students shall also make a trend analysis
and comparative study within the companies and also interpret the
meaning of these ratios.
