My current passion is making games using Python games.

It all started
when I was curious about how games worked behind the scenes while
playing them. At Beginning at the age of six, I began’ve been playing a game
in Roblox called Mad City. While playing, I grew curious about how games
worked behind the scenes. Since then, I ha’ve initiated a process of
exploration, to ruminate on the idea of figure out how to create such an
exciting and innovative good game. That small idea evolvedturned into a
majorbig interest as I learned more about coding and game design
throughout my academic career.

When I just started making games in Python, I felt everything was new to
me. I didn’t even know how to import Pygame into my computer. However,
the sense of mystery began to fade away when my teacher taught me the
basics of Python. He has guided me in the use of pygame, which helps me to
add graphics, sounds, and movement to my game design. Despite my new-
found ed interest in programming in Python, sometimes things don’t go
smoothly, especially when bugs appear, or the game doesn’t work as
expected. For example, I once tried to create a game where the player could
collect items to use on their quest, but I couldn’t get the items to disappear
after being usedcollected. After hours of digging into the code, I found out
that I needed to reset the item’s position to make it vanish. This was a
frustrating moment, but I still felt proud to have solved found the answer to
that problemit. Each time I address a challenge, I not only receive the
satisfaction of solving a problem, but also expand my skillset for future
creation and innovation.

At Brown Pre-College, I want to improve my programming skills even more by

participating in the summer Brown Pre-College Summer Pschool program.
I’m applying to’m planning to enroll in the course, “Systems Thinking and
Principles of Game Design” to further master skills in coding and problem-
solving. GI believe thatuided by Professor Kalaitzidis with the help of
instructors and working with students who share mythe same interests, I can
develop my potential for making high-quality games in the future. This
course will not only help me gain technical mastery and enhance my critical
outlook on systems design. It will imaster the technical skills required but
also improve my ability to think critically about systems design and to apply
those principles across disciplines. By enlargingpushing my
boundariesknowledge of in game design, I aim to develop a strong
foundation for creating immersive, and high-quality games that are both
innovative and engaging for players. Moreover, this course will help me gain
technical mastery and enhance my critical outlook on systems design. By
pushing my boundaries in game design, I hope to for building games that are
innovative, and engaging and of high quality.

Louis:

This is much stronger. I cut or replaced a few words or phrases that were
repetitive. You could add a sentence or two about what you most enjoy about
game design, or what makes you passionate about it. With these changes,
this essay is ready to go.

Good luck!
