particular departments, we will discuss the requirements of how to become a good
accountant the second section will be almost covering the information about the particular
requirements of becoming a good accountant in finance and accounting departments as
these are flourishing nowadays in the market their professional, ethical factors which they

aspects of it. Other than these references and summary will also be provided.
Sub Section 1.1: Work Based Learning
Work based learning as we can see that from the term the work which is relevant to what
you are studying. It basically means the work learning or experience work learning which is
relevant to your major or we can say your field. Learning the skills or we can say here
learning specific skills which can help you to excel in your field, and professional life. When
we talk here about work-based learning we basically mean learning the skills that will help
us in employment, like through which we can gain ab overall experience of professionalism.
Experiential learning is connected to activity learning. Like seeking for productive learning
which can be implemented in professional life. Using the knowledge, we are gaining to its
fullest form it requires practical implications, practical performance of the work. It solves
many problems that job seekers face during their period of professionalism and search for
jobs after graduation.
Previously talking about the past like 5 years prior students were encouraged to take any
type of role in their summer breaks or when they must search for a part time job after their
university timings. Earlier to this present time every type of work was encouraged and
valued regardless of specific standards and only those opportunities which cab help then to
find good jobs or here we can say suitable jobs which suits their major or which can change
their life. Finding jobs was not a matter to which very much importance was given. Students
always went the way they wanted they wanted to go, always choose the jobs or any type of
roles which they really wanted to do as they knew their CV or they won’t be judged by their
past experiences and their every experience is valuable regardless of standards and degrees
and every job or work or role they are performing at present time will obviously strengthen
their CV as everything At that time was considered productive, they were always welcomed
in the market and were given numerous chances by the company or the industry to show
their abilities, creativity and devotion towards their profession. Requirements of the
experience to a certain profession was not given that much importance and taking
experience and learning every aspect and sphere of life was encouraged. Students were free
to go for any work they want to do they either their role can be as a junior accountant in the
office, or it can be a receptionist in the hospital, or they can go and do part-time Job as a
waiter or accountant in the restaurant.
When we talk about today’s work environment and the mindsets of the career experts, they
are usually recommending the graduates that they should go for relevant work
experiencing. They should go for internship programmes do internships and part time jobs
which will help them to excel in their professional field and provide them relevant work
experience regarding professionalism. They should build up a strong portfolio of themselves
in their duration of studies so they are polished and can handle many things and will also be
easy for them to come to the market and get selected for jobs as they will have relevant
experience and will be credible in accordance with their job which they are trying to achieve
it. As many employers nowadays demand “relevant work experience” from students.
Students should go to play a part in performing at the industrial sectors and job roles which
will help then to gain this relevant work experience.
Many universities and business are collaborating with each other and are offering many
platforms, or we can say programs and opportunities for the young students through which
they can build in their portfolio. Internships and work replacements are a way for students
to gain the productive experience in life.
The office for National statistics report in the graduate hiring revealed that there is an
increase in the size of the graduate population from more than 43,0000 in the past 10 years.
Example is Centrica whose 10-week internship programme has grown from 11 to 75 places
due to the increase in the graduate population and the demanding internship program.
Youth gains exposure to the world of work, Gain experiences they are beneficial fie
academic reinforcements, can get a paying job that may become permanent.
It also develops the personality of the youths and has a great effect on their personal life
development as they get exposure in work-based environment they get to know people
around them; they get to know how an individual should work in a work environment,
understanding of the ethics that are necessary to be followed in the workplaces, building of
their communication skills.

expenses, and measures.

Ethical factors include how an individual should act towards the other individual in a
workplace. The principles that should be governed by the professions the boundaries which
they are not supposed to cross while working, maintaining a positive environment in the
workplace are known as the ethical factors.

It basically refers to the continuous development that Is achieved in the professional life. It
is basically the process which you keep ongoing maintaining, documenting, and developing
your professional skills. One must not stop going in accordance with the development of
their professional skills. It is very much important to achieve success in your professional
field. A commitment to the learning and improving is encouraged everywhere.
It is a whole process which includes from identifying your personal and professional needs
to the planning of carrying them out.
Everyone is expected to learn, plan, and organize for themselves to achieve success in their
professional life.
The cycle of continuous Professional develop includes five stages. First is
1. Identifying your personal and professional needs:
By carrying out your skills audit
Also, by receiving feedback from your colleagues and your friends etc.
Exploring your interest in which areas you are interested and on the basis on this
evaluation and determination you plan your needs.
2. Planning and Carrying out Activities:
You should plan how are you going to gain these needs.
It can be of two types both formal and informal learning which you will need to carry
out these activities.
3. Reflection on your own learning:
You should reflect on what you have learned and what else there is needed for you
to learn. Do an evaluation of your learning from any formal or informal learning.

which you have learning implementing the prior three cycles.
5. Sharing with Others:
Share your learning outcomes with others your friends your colleagues what you
have learned share it with others as well.
Section 3: Self Promotion:
Self-Promotion is what we need nowadays in our learning environment and in our
workplaces. You should compete with others on your own. Analysing your self-
abilities, creativity, and other skills and based on them compete with others
regardless of taking any help or asking for favours from your colleagues and high-
profile friends.

One should be Self-made and should have the ability to face all the challenges of the
workplace that are very common and that thar re not very common. Presenting
yourself to others as an accomplished, capable, and smart one. Instead of asking for
favours from your colleagues you should be able to build your own way of success
for yourself in which only you are the deserving person. Fighting on your own not
asking anybody to help you includes in Self Promotion.

It is very much important factor, and it can’t be ignored in accordance with the
professional life. The one who are Self-made and self-promoted are the most
successful one nowadays.

Sometimes it is very much necessary when you compete for scarce resources. It can
be done by many means either by face-to-face conversations, in public speeches
even on blogs or on social media and many other platforms.

People who are Self promoted usually believed that others will respond to their self-
promotion in the most favourable manner. As it is the most positive approach of
development and success. Self-promoters also tend to make other people like them
through methods of self-promotion.
Section 4: Critical Reflection:
It is basically a reasoning process that adds meaning to one’s experience. It is
descriptive and is analysed or in other words It is analytical and critical. It is a process that
usually help us to set goals and targets from our past actions we determine our future goals
and actions. It is basically a meaning making process.
From Gibbs Reflective Cycle we will explain this meaning making process
Section 4.1: Gibbs Reflective Cycle:
It is one of the most famous models of the reflection. It leads you through six stages. It can
be used to organize your thoughts that reflect upon our experiences. This is the most
appropriate model of reflection of one’s experiences and organising one thought that
reflects and are relevant to their experiences which will apparently help to set a target or
goal for the completion.
The plan how to apply your learning in the future.
As a student it can be used to take part in the learning activities and reflection our
experiences in the thought session, completing a project or assessment.

It’s first stage includes description.

Description:
The symbolic organising of what the activity was how it ends the different stages of the
activity and from where the activity began you must keep these certain things in your mind.
This report is all about the description of the work based learning and environment in which
the description is About the work places the job opportunities which are relevant to the
work places for example nowadays there is an immense demand or we can say here need of
the relevant work based experience prior to this relevant work based experience was not
required and it was not compulsory for every person there that he should have ab
experience of the mentioned or the standard time in order to get this job. The outcome of
the situation is that many of the business and the organisations and the universities are now
offering numerous internship programs to help the students to gain relevant work-based
learning. Because of the immense and growing competition and the growing population of
the graduates which many people have determined through different statistical studies.
Every university going student started searching for internship and the universities also
started to collaborate with business and different high-profile companies which would short
list their students for this opportunity. The concept of self-promoters was introduced merits
were made jobs were standardised and more opportunities were given to the students
based on their relevant work experience.
Feeling:
The feeling of the students as they analysed the drastically change was different, they
started to learn which will benefit them in future. The jump to productive learning began
and they started to build their portfolio high before entering the universities they had to
work hard in the internships and in their part, time jobs to achieve better in future. It
boosted the confidence of the students and started to build them personally and
professionally.
There were both negative and positive impacts on the students from this demand there was
a mixture of feeling as the students which are already interested in the office work were
good and excited whereas the students which were not of a productive mindset, they were
forced to adjust their self because of the market and career experts demands.
Evaluation:
The evaluation of the situation is simple. The experience had two sides it was both good and
bad as some people were performing good and some well while the others below average.
Experience literally depends on different factors which are the workplace environment
either it can be positive or negative or either your colleagues cannot be cooperative or
either you can have a strict instructor.
The contribution of the people to this overall experience was their Hard work, their
devotion, and their determination to the experience how well and are the same time how
bad were their performing and what were traits were they opting to achieve success and
perform good.
The environment and the experience of most people was all positive because they get to
learn many things, they got exposure of personal and professional life both they were able
to handle and absorb unusual circumstances and their communication skills improved very
much. Apart from this the overall productivity ratio increased.
Analysis:
After analysing the whole situation we can say that things went all positive an and we’ll and
this was marked as a huge success platform for both the youngsters and the company as
mentioned above the productivity ratio increased and the students getting a lot of
opportunities to improve their technical and creative skills her introduction of the internship
programs enabled the students to be more confident and they already knew the ethics and
the boundaries which should not be crossed in the workplace. Students learned experiential
learning which will in future help them a lot.
Conclusions:
The conclusion of this experience is that it will help the students to achieve more success in
future. And the ratio of the independence of the youth will increase they will be able to
make choices learn work learn ethics and it will also increase the ratio of self-promoters as
one will be able to achieve success on his own and the requirements of how to being a good
accountant will also be learned in addition. Apart from this the people who always asked for
favours will be reduced. And everybody will be dependent on his own.
Section 5: Summary:
The summary of this whole topic includes the importance of work-based learning as how in
today’s time the concept of relevant work-based learning very much encouraged students’
is should go for learning that will be beneficial in future and will help them in their
employment procedures. Career experts believe that students should go for building their
portfolios strong before entering their professional phase as it will help them to reduce their
efforts for seeking a good profession. Job Opportunities in the accounting and the finance
department were discussed as how vast platform it is for people to excel in it.
Moreover, the concept of self-promotion was discussed which apparently determines the
importance of one’s owns determination towards his work, and he is achieving everything
on his own not asking anybody for favours etc.
Apart from this it highlighted many important surveys in accordance with the relevant work-
based learning and how the internships programs are slowly and gradually increasing in the
business and how their preference ratio is increasing of hiring their employees.
