ADA is a Society and an Autonomous Organization under the Department of Defence Research & Development (R&D), Ministry of Defence
(MOD), Government of India, entrusted with the design & development of both the Air Force and Naval versions of Light Combat Aircraft (Tejas),
LCA AF Mark-II, Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) and other advanced technology developmental projects of Government of India. ADA
offers a challenging and excellent working environment and it has advanced and sophisticated facilities for Aircraft Design activities providing
excellent growth potential.
2. ADA invites applications from Indian Citizens to the post(s) of Project Scientist ‘B’ and Project Scientist ‘C’ onProgramme based limited
tenure contract appointment for an initial period of THREE years and extendable as per rules based on performance and requirement of the
project /programme. The details of the requirement is mentioned below

As described above for different posts, the applicants should ensure that they satisfy the eligibility criteria as on the closing date of
advertisement. Candidates should be in possession of First-Class degree certificate awarded by a recognized University. Candidates should possess
the prescribed experience in the relevant field as mentioned under the column “Qualifications & Experience” and must have documentary proof
for establishing the fact. The prescribed Essential Qualifications/ experience is bare minimum and mere possession of same does not entitle
candidate to becalled for personal interview.
4. Weightage for higher qualification will be given based on the following conditions:
(a) Post Graduate Qualification in Engineering: 1 year of weightage.
(b) Doctorate Degree in Engineering: 3 years of weightage.
Note : Dissertation of ME/M.Tech or Project/ Dissertation/ Thesisin case of Doctorate Degree in Engineering must be in the field
relevant tothe required area of experience for the given post.
5. In case of candidate(s) possessing both (a) & (b)above, weightage of higher degree only will be given subject to the note above. Maximum weightage
upto 3 years only will be given for the work experience as Research Fellow / Research Associate etc. (for every completed year of experience) and
incase of such candidate(s) possessing ME/M.Tech degree, weightage of one year only will be given for experience subject to the note above. However,
the JRF/SRF from ADA Bengaluru whose designations have been changed to Project Assistant will continue to get the benefit of weightage in experience.
The period of study should not overlap with work experience.
(However, the weightage is not automatic. It will depend on the relevance of the higher qualification and research carried out by the
candidate with that required by ADA).
6. Remuneration: The monthly emoluments authorized for different levels of Project Scientists is given below:

Age Relaxation:-: 03 Years for OBC, 05 Years for SC/ ST & Upto 10 years for Divyang/ PH candidates. The upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years for
serving Civilian Central Govt. employees working in posts which are in the same line or allied cadres and where a relationship could be established that
the service already rendered in a particular post will be useful for the efficient discharge of the duties of the advertised posts. The upper age limit is
relaxable for Ex-servicemen including Ex SSCOs/ ECOs as per rules invogue. Maximum age shall not exceed 56 years including age relaxation Relaxation
in upper age limit (As per Govt. rules)
9. How to apply :- Candidates are required to first register online at the ADA website (www.ada.gov.in). Detailed guidelines will be available on
Candidate’s login at ADA website. On successful registration, the candidates may login before the closing date of the advertisement to fill the application
form online. The candidates are required to upload all requisite certificates / related documents. After previewing the application along with uploaded
certificates / documents, the application needs to be locked for submission. Only locked / finalised applications in all respects will be considered. If
any document is in any language other than English / Hindi, then its English / Hindi transcript should also be attached, failing which the said document
will be rejected. Candidates are also advised to retain a printout/copy of the online recruitment application(pdf format)after submission. Candidates
desirous of applying for more than one post must apply separately for each post. In such case, please mention theitem no. (nos.) of all other posts where
you have applied/intend to apply. The applicants are advised to fill in all their particulars carefully in the online application and verify it carefully before
locking. No correction in the data/application will be allowed and no document will be accepted once finally submitted.
10. All serving candidates (whether in permanent or temporary capacity)working in Government or in Government owned organizations (PSU/Joint
venture, Government promoted societies and Government / Non-Government companies / Agencies / Entities where Government or Government
promoted companies / Agencies / Entities have a combined controlling stake of 50% or more) need to upload a signed declaration that they have
informed in writing to their Cadre Controlling Authority (CCA) that they have applied for the post in ADA, and in case of any objection, the
employer may communicate with ADA (at email:[email protected]) directly within 15 days of the closing date of online registration.
Candidates shall ensure that the intimation will be made to the employer in the prescribed format only mentioning the clause for ‘No-
objection’ else the intimation in any other format will not be considered. Candidates should note that in case a communication from the
employer is received by ADA with holding the permission to the candidate applying for the post , their candidature will be liable for
cancellation. The candidates will be required to produce a copy of proof of their communication with their employer i.e. THE INTIMATION
TO THE EMPLOYER AND THE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT RECEIVED FROM EMPLOYER regarding their application for the desired post at the time
of interview (if called for).
11. Weightage of higher qualifications to be equated as experience only when the higher qualification is in the relevant discipline. Candidates
are therefore, advised to highlight the experience acquired (either through Higher Qualification or Job Experience) matching to
requirements mentioned under Essential and/or Desirable Qualification while filling the Justification column under ‘Other’ Section in
the online Application form.
a) The maximum file size of each document/certificate to be uploaded should not exceed 500 KB and it must be legible when a printout is
taken.
b) For that, the applicant may scan the certificate into 200 dpi grey scale.
c) Date of Birth (DOB) proof : Self attested Matriculation certificate/ High School certificate/Birth Certificate issued by appropriate Local
Authority etc. Ensure that DOB proof mentions birth date.
d) A recent passport size colour photograph (size not exceeding 30 KB ; resolution of 110x140pixels).
e) Scanned sample of candidate’s signature. (size not exceeding 30 KB ; resolution of 110x140pixels).
f) Self-attested certificates/testimonials regarding Essential and Higher qualification along with mark-sheets, caste, ex-servicemen, Disability
certificate (wherever applicable), employment and experience etc.
g) The candidates, whether in Govt Service or in Govt owned organisations, should upload a signed declaration that they have informed their
Cadre Controlling Authority (CCA) in writing regarding their application for the post of Project Scientist in ADA.
h) In case of mismatch in candidate name and/or parent(s)name(s)of the candidate as mentioned in the application form with any of the
documents/certificates being uploaded, the relevant affidavit in support shall essentially be uploaded.
i) If any document/certificate furnished is in a language other than English or Hindi, a duly self-attested transcript of the same should be
attached.
j) Candidates should attach all experience certificates and last three months salary slips as proof of pay drawn for the experience claimed.
The period of experience (date of joining/date of leaving/current job status) claimed should be easily verifiable from the salary
slips/experience certificates/documents attached.
k) Upload requisite caste/disability certificate, in case you belong to SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/Divyang category.
l) Upload Release certificate in case you are a retired Armed Forces personnel.

13. Screening and short listing
a) For all applications received within due date, Administrative Screening will be carried out for verification of identity, age,
essential & higher qualifications and length of suitable experience at initial stage
b) For all Administratively Eligible applications, Technical Screening will be carried out for verification of suitability of
experience possessed by the candidates with the experience requirements advertised against each vacancy. Technically
screened applications (Bio-data based Technical Screening ) will be shortlisted for further selection process by adopting any one or
more of the following methods:
(i) On the basis of educational qualifications and / experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the
advertisement duly supported by the Documentary evidence.
(ii) Relevance of experience as filled in application by candidates.
(iii) On the basis of Desirable Qualification (DQ), if more than one DQ is prescribed, on any one or all of the DQs.
(iv) By holding a Technical Screening Committee Meeting including Technical Experts from ISRO/ BARC/ DRDO.
(v) By conducting short online interview of 10-15 minutes to further shortlist candidates.
c) The number of candidates to be shortlisted for preliminary online interview is as under (Subject to availability)
d) In case, for any Item the initial screening (based on biodata only) does not result in sufficient number of administratively
eligible candidates (as many as the maximum number required for the Final Personal Interview), then the number of posts for that
item will be reduced to the number for which the number of administratively eligible candidates is found to be sufficient. If it is not
sufficient for even one vacancy then the recruitment process for that item will be cancelled.
e) Based upon the performance in the Preliminary Online Interview, candidates will be shortlisted for the Final Personal
Interview in the following ratio subject to their availability:
f) Additionally, in case the technical screening does not result in sufficient number of candidates (as many as 03 candidates per
vacancy for Final Interview ), then the number of vacancies will be reduced to the number for which the number of candidates
is found to be sufficient for Final Interview. If it is not sufficient for even one vacancy then the recruitment process for that item
will be cancelled. In case of cancellation of recruitment process due to any of the above mentioned reasons, the respective posts
may then be re-advertised. The candidates should, therefore, mention all qualifications/ experience/ achievements/
specialisation in relevant fields including those over and above the minimum qualifications.
Note : ADA reserves the right to modify the screening/short listing procedure depending upon the availability of suitable
candidates
a) The shortlisted candidates will be advised to appear for a final personal interview to be conducted as per rules at the venue and date,
which will be intimated through the call letter.
b) Candidates serving in Govt. or in Govt. owned Organizations will be required to produce a copy of proof of their communication with
their employer i.e. the intimation regarding their application for the desired post and acknowledgement received from employer
regarding their application for the said post. The final selection of candidates will be purely on the basis of merit of marks scored by a
candidate in the final personal interview only. The minimum qualifying marks required by the candidate in the personal
interview for consideration for selection are 70% for all Unreserved vacancies and 60% for all reserved vacancies.
15. Liability to serve: As per the Central Government Rules, selected candidates will have the liability to serve anywhere in India
including remote / field area locations
16. Closing date :
Online submission will remain available on ADA website upto 20th April 2025.
17. Important instructions related to work experience/Employment.
a) The required experience will be counted only after the date on which the essential qualification has been acquired. While counting
the experience, the suitability of the level of experience possessed will also be considered. All experience certificates / documents
indicating length and nature of experience for each employment record should be uploaded. Any experience below the Pay Level-
8 as per 7th CPC or equivalent will not be considered.
b) Candidates who have worked or are currently working in Private Sector must submit proof of Pay drawn/Cost to Company (CTC)
during the period claimed as experience for the post. While determining the level of experience, the Pay drawn in preceding years /CTC will
only be the sole criteria to determine experience at suitable level.

c) The period of experience rendered by a candidate on part time basis, daily wages, trainee or as a Visiting/Guest Faculty, Technical
Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Research Assistant, Project Assistant (except for ADA) etc. will not be counted while calculating the valid
experience for eligibility of candidates for interview.
d) Experience certificates/proofs should contain name of individual, designation, salary drawn, date of joining/leaving and areas of work.
Passbook entries, Bank Account statements etc. will not be considered as salary/fellowship proofs.
e) Candidates should upload all experience certificates, salary slips, promotion orders or proofs related to change in designation/pay
scales etc. (wherever applicable) for the experience claimed. The length of experience i.e. date of joining and end date of each employment
record should be available to verify the period of experience.
f) The experience certificate/proof issued by Admin/ HR Head / Director / Principal / Dean / Registrar / Competent Authority of the
Institution will only be acceptable. The experience certificates issued by Group/Division Head/ Project Head/ Professor or Head of
department etc. will not be accepted. Experience certificates related to Fellowships must be issued by the aforesaid competent authority and
shall contain the start date and end date of the fellowship so as to establish the duration of Fellowship.
18. Perquisites & Terms & Conditions of service applicable to Project Scientists
a) Allowances:The Individual will not be entitled for any kind of allowances/benefits such as Dearness Allowance, Government
Accommodation, Medical re-imbursement, telephone connection, broadband re-imbursement or any other such entitlement as
declared by the Government/ADA for its regular employees.
b) Gratuity: Gratuity shall be payable as per provisions of the payment of Gratuity Act 1972, as amended. At present Minimum service of
Five (05) years required to be eligible.
c) Travel Entitlements: The Individualon official duty, will be authorized for TA & DA as applicable to ADA regular employees while on
tour.
d) Group insurance:The Individual will be admitted to Group Insurance under OYRGTA (One-year renewable group term assurance)
scheme of LIC as available to ADA employees. Recovery towards annual subscription at prescribed rates will be made from Individual salary.
e) Leave: The Individual will be eligible for 30 days of Annual leave and 10 days of Casual leave in a calendar year. Eligibility of leave will
be proportionate to days of service. Any leave availed over and above the eligibility will be considered as loss of pay. No leave will be carried
forward to the next year. Maternity leave as per instructions issued by ADA from time to time would be admissible.
f) Medical Insurance: The Individual and their dependents should be covered in a Group Medical Insurance Scheme. Individual has to
purchase and submit the medical insurance from any authorized insurance provider with an annual premium of not less than Rs. 15,000/- within
one month of joining ADA.
g) Working hours: The Individual will have to attend the office on all working days of ADA. The working hours of ADA and
Project/Programme shall be binding.
h) External Assignments: Project Scientists are not allowed to hold any other position with any private company or Government
organization/PSU/Autonomous bodies while holding the contractual appointment in ADA.
i) Remunerations: Selected candidates engaged on the contract basis shall be paid a monthly consolidated remuneration for the period of
contract.
j) Annual Increment: Annual increment of 7% on consolidated pay shall be awarded.
k) The project Scientists shall not be eligible for any other perquisites/benefits other than the ones as mentioned above.
19. Terms and conditions of service as applicable to Project Scientist
a) Contract Agreement: Individual have to mandatorily execute a contract agreement at the time of joining ADA.
b) Duration of contract: Individual appointment shall be initially for a period of Three (03) years and extendable based on Individual
performance and requirement of the project. Maximum age of work shall be 60 Years.
c) Performance Evaluation: Performance of Individual in the post of Project Scientist shall be evaluated annually through Annual
Performance & Appraisal reports (APAR).
d) Project Scientists shall be eligible to apply for higher grades as and when vacancies in such grades are advertised, after attaining required
number of years of experience.
e) Resignation/Termination of the Contract: The Contract appointment as Project Scientist of an Individual can be terminated at any
time, if performance is not found satisfactory and APAR marks/score is below average limit for consecutive two years. A notice period of two
months shall be served before termination of the contract. The contract may also be terminated if you tender a written resignation stating
appropriate reason with prior notice of not less than two months.
f) The contract may also be terminated if the individual tenders his/her written resignation stating a valid reason with a prior notice of not
less than two months.
g) Self-declaration form: You shall submit a Self-Declaration (As Enclosed) stating that the engagement is purely on contract basis and
there will be no entitlement for any right or claim for any permanent appointment/employment or absorption in ADA on the basis of this
engagement.
h) Other normal conditions of service shall be similar as applicable to ADA regular employees.
i) The selected candidate will have a legal status of an independent Project Scientist vis-à-vis, ADA and will not be regarded, for any
purposes, as being a staff member of ADA, or an official or Employee of ADA. Accordingly, nothing within or relating to the contract will establish
the relationship of employer and employee, or of principal and agent, between ADA and the individual project staff.
20. General Instructions.
a) First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognized University is mandatory. In case a particular
University / institute does not have any criteria for First Class or equivalence, 60% marks will be taken as equivalent to first class for that
University / institute. In case of CGPA, candidate should provide conversion formula for calculating the percentage. In cases, where conversion
formula is not available, CGPA/CPI of 6.75 (for a 10 point scale) will be taken as equivalent to 60% as per AICTE guidelines. No rounding off of
marks is permitted.
b) Candidates should be in possession of First class degree certificate/Provisional degree certificate awarded by the university at the time
of submitting the application.

c) The applicants should ensure that they satisfy the eligibility criteria as on the closing date of online registration. The prescribed
Essential Qualifications and Experience are bare minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for the
interview.
d) Educational qualifications and experience are two separate items of requirements. Candidates should possess the prescribed essential
experience in the relevant fields as mentioned under the column ‘Nature and area of experience’. The prescribed experience should have
been obtained by the candidate after acquiring the prescribed educational qualifications.
e) One set of copies of the self-attested certificates in proof of qualifications and experience should be brought at the time of interview along
with the application form; however, candidates will be required to produce all original certificates for verification.
f) The appointment will be subject to the completion of formalities like medical examination prescribed for Group 'A' technical posts of
Government of India with field service liability and character verification etc.
g) The number of vacancies indicated is tentative and may vary and the right not to fill up all or any of the posts as advertised is reserved.
h) All decisions in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of application shall be final and no enquiry or correspondence
will be entertained in this connection from any individual or his/her agency.
i) Application received through any other mode would not be accepted and will be summarily rejected.
j) Date for determining the eligibility of all candidates in every respect shall be the prescribed closing date for submission of on-line
application under this Advt. The applicants are advised to fill in all their particulars in the on-line application (ADA web-site) carefully as
submission of wrong/incomplete information may lead to rejection through computer-based short-listing.
k) Interview call letters for shortlisted candidates will be available over website only and therefore candidates may correctly enter their
details such as E-mail ID, Postal Address & Mobile Number etc. No queries in this regard will be entertained on telephone.
l) Candidates are not required to send print out of application by post.
m) The candidates must be in good mental and physical health condition for efficient discharge of their duties. The candidates shortlisted
provisionally for selection may be subjected to a medical examination by the appointing/ competent authority before the offer of appointment is
issued. If the candidate is found medically unfit, he/she will not be issued with offer of appointment. For candidates of PwBD category, the
medical standards will be as per Govt. of India rules.
n) Candidates seeking reservation as SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) should produce caste certificate in the prescribed proforma from
the competent authority indicating clearly the candidate’s caste, the Act/Order under which the caste is recognized as SC/ST/OBC (Non-
Creamy Layer) and the village/town the candidate is ordinarily a resident of. (Refer annexure for prescribed caste certificate format for SC/ST
and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)).
o) Candidates claiming to belong to SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer) should note that the name of their caste/tribe (including its spellings)
as indicated in their certificates, should be exactly the same as published in the lists notified by the Central Government from time to time. A
certificate containing any variation in the caste/tribe name will not be accepted.
p) A declaration in the prescribed format by candidate seeking reservation as OBC, that he/she does not belong to the creamy layer on the
crucial date, in addition to the community certificate(OBC) also to be submitted online.
q) Candidates applying for more than one post should register separate application.
r) Serving Govt. employees will be eligible for claiming the age relaxation as per Central Govt rules to the extant.
s) A Candidate will be eligible to get the benefit of community reservation only in case the particular caste, to which he/she belongs, is
included in the list of reserved communities issued by the Central Government for appointment to posts under Government of India.
t) Candidates seeking reservation under Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category should produce a valid Income & Asset certificate
in the prescribed pro-forma issued by the competent authority.(please see Annexure)
u) Candidates belonging to ‘Persons with Benchmark Disability’ (PwBD) category would be eligible for the benefit of reservation under this
category only if the relevant disability is not less than 40%. Those candidates should submit a disability certificate in the prescribed format
issued by the competent authority. (please see Annexure)
v) Incase of PwBD candidates, relaxation in age-limit shall be applicable irrespective of the fact whether the post is reserved or not,
provided the post is identified suitable for persons with disabilities. lf a person with disability is entitled to age concession by virtue of being a
Government Servant, concession to him/her will be admissible as per government rules.
w) Part time experience / Apprenticeship training / period of trainee will not be considered for calculation of number of years of
experience.
x) The selected candidates will be required to resign from their previous organization and they will not be permitted to join ADA on lien /
deputation basis. Their career will start afresh in ADA from the date of joining and no fresh weightage will be given or considered for earlier
experience or qualification to claim any benefits and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained
y) Candidates coming from outstation to attend the document verification/ test may make their own arrangements for their travel to stay at
Bengaluru and no TA/DA will be paid by ADA.
z) Candidates should keep checking ADA web site regularly for updates.
aa) Banned items: Electronic gadgets like Mobile phones, blue tooth, pen drive, laptops, calculators, smart watches or any other
communication devices etc. are strictly NOT allowed during online interview / final interview / Document verification)
bb) No interim correspondence will be entertained.
cc) Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification.
dd) Genuine queries if any, regarding the advertisement, should be sent by e-mail only to [email protected]. No query asking for
advice as to eligibility will be entertained.
ee) Applications/Registrations received after the closing date or otherwise incomplete shall not be considered. No correspondence in this
regard will be entertained.
21. Check list.

x. Uploaded experience certificate has been issued by competent authority like Admin/ HR Head / Director / Principal / Dean /
Registrar / Head of the Organisation only.
