Growing up with the mindset that graduating from college was my end goal, I began looking
for public high schools that would prepare me for college, which is how I ended up attending
a school that was STEM focused. During high school, few of my teachers were biggest role
models, exposed me to the idea of pursuing engineering, and advised me regarding further
studies that had a lasting impact on me. My first exposure to Computer Science was an
introductory course in my first semester. This intro class opened my eyes to the limitless job
opportunities that studying CS would bring me. I realized that with coding, I could be a part of
any industry because technology is required everywhere, and that is the important reason for
deciding to pursue Computer Science. Another reason why I was so drawn to the idea of
learning technology is the independence that CS gives, the creativity, and to me it was like
gaining superpowers.
Academic diligence and a penchant for excellence have been a part of my academic journey.
Reasonable aptitude in mathematics with a proper application of logic, adequate analytical
thinking and the good education I acquired during all the phases of my education have
propelled me to accomplish education at the international level which will give me the
inclination and stature to meet the global requirements. Pursuing an engineering career in
Computer Science is one of the best decisions I have made. I learned the skills needed to
become a Software Engineer. Project works and learning opportunities during my sophomore
year has provided me the initial experience I needed to land a Software Engineering. I worked
on a project titled “Pay roll system” that aims to develop software that covers all the aspects of
the management and operations of payroll. The second one is “Gate Keeper Project” which is
about gate pass that is useful for community security. I also completed my project at ECIL on
Multiple Bank Transaction System and earned a certification. These projects and learning
opportunities offered me invaluable experience to present myself during the interview at
BOSCH GLOBAL SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGIES. As an associate software engineer, I have
worked under the supervision of a senior software engineer and together with the team of
engineering professionals in the project of SAP SLT (SAP Landscape Transformation
Replication Server). The SLT is an ETL Tool where we can extract the data from the source
and make some transformation from the SLT and finally we have to replicate the data into the
target. On top of the courses that I have picked, I have been energetic and perky outside the
classroom, engaging in extraclassroom activities and pursuing new exposures so as to propel
myself and enrich my perception. I also indulge myself in sports and non-scholastic activities
where I could find my self-worth and satisfaction. Having acquired a solid foundation, at this
point, I feel that this is the right time to take up Graduate studies that bring forth the freedom
to choose modules of personal interest to a greater extent.
For the past few decades, computers have radically changed the world we live in. From
machines for calculations, computers are now platforms for information processing and
computation, supporting the entire spectrum of human endeavor. While computer science is a
relatively young field, it is shaping how people live in our modern world. I do not find a single
community that has not been contrived by computers and the potency they provide us.
Computer science nudges on every dimension of engineering, science and economics. It
influences every area from emphasized communication to the latest forms of media and
entertainment. The destiny, with all-pervasive computational power and innate user interfaces,
will broaden all human capabilities.
Yet we also recognise that computer science research is, by its very nature, an increasingly
interdisciplinary activity, influenced by disciplines including psychology, social, philosophy,
education, and biomedicine. I am very excited at the prospect of devoting my long-term career
to such a dynamic, fast advancing field where I could enjoy dabbling with computers and
experimenting with different applications. My learning experience until now has equipped me
with an extended practical knowledge and skills that will be intensely useful when studying
overseas at the graduate level. As an undergraduate, I perceived that I greatly enjoyed learning
about programming and systems analysis, and with my strong mathematics background I
performed very well in courses concerning calculus, statistics, and differential equations.
Moreover, to my diversified knowledge of computer science, I admire the extent of this field
and the fathomless possibilities for further study.
In the fullness of time, my ultimate goal is to put my passion for Computer Science into
becoming a competent professional in this industry while also devoting my creativity and
technical agility to developing extensive intelligent technologies by working in the research
arena and making a meritorious contribution to the computing world by discovering or
innovating the new dimensions of future computing. Moreover, as a computer science graduate,
I’ll be inclined to educate the next generation. Above all, I can nurture my skills to evolve new
products that are efficient in revolutionizing the world. Now, I have determined that a dedicated
higher study in Computer Science will enable me to aggregate all my previous knowledge &
experience in the field and encourage me in achieving my career goal. The US is the premier
and most sought-after destination for higher education due to its futuristic nature in technology
in a range of facets. Ascertaining all, it was innate and wise for me to choose the US for my
higher education. The exquisite value the master's program will bestow upon my profile had
played a crucial role in coercing me to select the US for my higher education.
It is my certainty that by employing application and sheer diligence, I can make a pragmatic
endowment to your university. As I begin to progress academically, I am prepared to put in
meticulous hard work and compete with the best in the world. I am excited to confront
challenges as I’m convinced that opportunities are the ones that we create. To be precise, I am
determined to do that “extra mile” of going beyond my limitations.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
