(a) Provide the customers below with an RFM number. (5 marks)

175,000/5= 35,000
1-35,000- 5
35,001-70,000- 4
70,001- 105,000-3
105,001- 140,000-2
140,001-175,000-1

545 31,000 60,555 555
435 44,444 95,000 10,001
343 75,999 69,999 88,888
352 92,010 1 124,868
221 126,000 133,002 155,000

Segment 545= (11*28) -(43.1*2.60) = 308-112.06= 195.94

Segment 435= (10*28)- (43.1 *2.60) =280-112.06= 167.94
Segment 343= (6*28) -(43.1 * 2.60) = 168-112.06= 55.94

Total Profit= 195.94+167.94+55.94= 419.82

Segment 435= 1400*0.23=322
Segment 343= 1400*0.13=182

Step 3
(350*28) -(1400*2.60) =9800-3640=6160
(322*28) -(1400*2.60) =9016-3640=5376
(182*28) -(1400*2.60) =5096-3640=1456
