Easter
Hello!
My name is The Easter Bunny.
You can see me in the spring.
I hide chocolate eggs,
In the garden you are in.

Are they under that bush?

Are they behind that tree?
You must look very hard,
If you want a chocolate egg from me!

With my long floppy ears,

And my big, long feet,
I’m The Easter Bunny,
I give children treats.

I must hop, hop, hop,

I have lots to do.
Easter is coming,
I love chocolate eggs, do you?

Earth

One day, Sam and Sally walked along the road in Tai Po. Sam drank cola and Sally ate potato chips. When Sam

finished his cola, he threw the empty can onto the road.

‘You can’t do that Sam,’ said Sally. ‘Mother Earth will be angry!’

Sam laughed. ‘Haha! I don’t care about Mother Earth. I can throw my rubbish where I want,’ he said. Sally looked

cross with Sam. ‘OK,’ she said ‘but don’t cry when Mother Earth punishes you.’

It was a cloudy day in Hong Kong and Sam and Sally continued to walk long the road. Sally finished her potato

chips. ‘I don’t know where to put my empty packet,’ she said. ‘I can’t see a rubbish bin.’ Once again Sam laughed.

‘Haha,’ he said ‘throw it on the road like me! It’s OK.’ Sally was angry with Sam. ‘No! I won’t throw it on the road.

Hong Kong is my home and I want to keep it clean. I don’t want to live in a big rubbish bin. I’m going to wait and

find a bin to put my rubbish in.’

After five minutes of walking, Sally found a rubbish bin and put the empty packet inside. Then a funny thing

happened. The clouds got smaller and smaller and the Sun came out. It was a beautiful day! Sally looked up at the
sky and she thought she could see the Sun smiling at her. ‘Mother Earth has made the Sun come out because I

threw my rubbish in the bin, Sam,’ she said with a big, happy smile on her face. But when she looked at Sam he

was crying. There was a small rain cloud above his head. He tried to run away from it but it followed him. ‘Mother

Earth is angry because I threw my rubbish on the road,’ said Sam. ‘She put this cloud here! Make it go, Sally!’

Then the cloud started to speak. ‘I will go away after you go back and put your empty can in the bin. We should try

to keep Mother Earth clean, healthy and happy. You can help her by putting your rubbish in the bin.’

Sam and Sally walked back to the can with the cloud above Sam’s head. When he found the empty can, he picked

it up and put it into a bin. After this, the cloud went and Sam and Sally both enjoyed the sunshine that Mother Earth

gave them.
