1.0 Rationale
The Student Management System is crucial for enhancing the efficiency of
educational administration. By centralizing data management, it improves
accessibility and accuracy, facilitates better communication among
stakeholders, and streamlines processes like enrollment and grading, ultimately
contributing to a more organized and effective learning environment.
a) Problem-Solving Skills: Students will enhance their ability to analyze problems and develop
effective solutions through hands-on project work.
b)Team Collaboration: Students will learn to work collaboratively in teams, developing interpersonal
skills and understanding the importance of teamwork in project success.
c) Data Security Awareness: Students will gain insights into data security practices and the importance
of protecting sensitive information within the system.
d) User Experience Design: Students will explore principles of user experience (UX) design, ensuring
that the system is intuitive and user-friendly.
Literature Review
The methodology involved requirement gathering through surveys, designing the database and user
interface, and developing the backend and frontend components. Testing included user feedback sessions
for improvements. Contributions were divided: Member A handled requirements, Member B focused on
database design, and Members C, D, and E developed and tested the system.
The Student Management System can be applied in educational institutions to streamline administrative
processes, manage student records, track attendance and grades, and enhance communication among
students, faculty, and administration. It supports data-driven decision-making, ultimately improving overall
efficiency and student engagement within the academic environment.
