LUT Setup Guide - Le Reve

COMPATABILITY
Gamut LUTs are compatible with any software or hardware device that
supports a .cube file (which is the LUT) and are developed as a 33x33x33
size cube file.
Gamut LUTs are designed to be used in any editing software that can read/load a .cube
file such as DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro.

HOW TO INSTALL
GAMUT LUTS FOR
1.
SELECT CLIP: Open Final Cut Pro (Version 10.4 or Later) and select your Clip or
Adjustment Layer in the timeline you want to add the LUT to.

OPEN EFFECTS BROWSER: Navigate to your Effects Browser and select the Color
category in the left tab.

ADD CUSTOM LUT: Either double click on the “Custom LUT” effect or drag onto your
Clip or Adjustment Layer.
4.
OPEN VIDEO INSPECTOR WINDOW: Navigate to your Video Inspector window, click
the “Custom LUT” drop-down section, and select “Choose Custom LUT.”

CHOOSE LUT: Navigate to the LUT file you want to import and select the .cube file
(which is the LUT) or select the folder that hosts multiple LUTs you want to import and
click “Open.”
6. ADJUST LUT INTENSITY: The LUT you imported will now be loaded and you should
see the look applied to your footage. If you imported a folder of LUTs, just click on the
drop-down menu again and select the LUT in the submenu folder. You can also
change the intensity of the LUT by adjusting the “Mix” slider to taste.

1.
PLACE LUTS IN FOLDERS: To install multiple LUTs, first create one or more of the
folders listed below if they are not already created. Then copy your LUT files to the

OPEN APP & SELECT CLIP: Open Adobe Premiere and select your Clip or Adjustment
Layer in the Sequence where you want to add the LUT.

ADD LUMETRI PANEL: Open the Color Workspace by clicking on the Color Tab. Or
Å C:\ProgramFiles\Adobe\ navigate to your Effects Browser and select “Lumetri Color” and drag it onto your
Common\LUTs\Technical footage. LUTs in the Creative directories appear in the Creative Look dropdown, and
LUTs in the Technical directories appear in the Basic Correction Input LUT dropdown.

OPEN CREATIVE TAB: In the Lumetri Panel, open the Creative Tab and select the
“Look” dropdown list to navigate to your LUTs we previously added to the Creative
Folder. The LUT you select will now be loaded and you should see the look applied to
your footage.

CHOOSE LUT: If you want to just add 1 LUT quickly, select “Browse” and navigate to
the .cube file (which is the LUT) and click “Open.” If you have a Conversion LUT, you
would instead load that in the Basic Correction tab.
6. ADJUST LUT INTENSITY: The LUT you imported will now be loaded and you should
see the look applied to your footage. You can also change the intensity of the LUT by
adjusting the “Intensity Slider” to taste.

Open Project Settings: Click on the gear button at the bottom right of the page.
Select the Color Management Panel and navigate to the Lookup Tables section.

Refresh LUT List: Navigate back to DaVinci Resolve and open up the Color Page by

are saved in a different location. in the top left toolbar, then right click anywhere in the LUT Browser and select
“Refresh”.

Choose LUT: Select your clip and add a “Serial Node” in the Node Editor. Choose
from the Node Editor dropdown either “Clip” or “Timeline” view. (Clip is the
default) Either right click and select your LUT in the “LUT” dropdown menu, or
navigate to the LUT Browser in the top left Toolbar and drag your LUT onto the node
you want to apply a LUT to.
5.
Adjust LUT Intensity: The LUT you imported will now be loaded and you should
see the look applied to your footage. While the node is selected, navigate down to
the Key tab and adjust your “Gain” in Key Output to your desired intensity.
