Dear valued Partner & Service Agent,

In reference to our SB20230613 concerning NW6000 service packs up to v1.8.5, please find additional
information as indicated in that bulletin.

We have noticed that on some NW6000 systems, which are running on 1.8.5 and earlier, if the LTRM becomes
full, a service pack cannot be updated successfully. This event can be recognized when the configurator is used
to update the VDR and connected devices. During the upload from v1.8.7, the configurator can stall and the
green connection indicator will turn red.

Please follow the instructions below to create space on the hard drive in order to successfully install the new
service pack.

Procedure

1) Open PuTTy and log in with username and password as provided during training.

2) Copy the following script to the command line in PuTTy.
(copy & paste, use right mouse key to paste in PuTTy)

pushd /media/sda1/recordings;while true ; do space=$(df -P /dev/sda1 | awk '$1 !~ /Filesystem/ {print

$4}'); if [[ ${space} -gt 4194304 ]]; then break; fi ; ls -tr | head -n 10 | xargs -r /bin/rm; done; popd;
reboot;

3) Press the enter key to run the script.

When it completes the VDR will reboot.

4) Close the Putty program and follow the instructions from bulletin SB20230615 again.

For further information contact Customer Support at [email protected].

Yours Sincerely,

Jonathan Cooper
