Observation: The bottom of the tank was leaking, a clear indication of damaged rubber bladder membrane.

Work Procedure: Installation of new Bladder/Pressure Tank.

1. Shutting off bladder tank inlet valve.


2. Lock out/Tag out procedure is applied to the isolation valve.
3. Depressurize and drain the bladder/pressure tank.
4. Dismantle the pressure tank piping.
5. Lift the defective pressure tank with the help of forklift.
6. Install new bladder/pressure tank.
7. Installed the new fitting at the bottom of the pressure tank.
8. Fill the bladder tank to its pre-charge air pressure .
9. If the the tank pressure is stable then continue the operation of the new bladder/pressure tank.
10.House keeping of pump area.
11.Job is done.
Shutdown duration: 1 Day
Impact of maintenance: Bladder/Pressure tank will be out of service during the maintenance.
Effect on the system: The system will be in operational while the bladder/pressure tank is under installation.

The work will be done at Irrigation Pump Station/STP.
