Swot Analysis Tree
Strengths
- Cairo University: The fact that TREE is based in Cairo University, as student activities that are in
Cairo Uni have a reputation for professionalism and reliability.
- Rabbit: Making it known that TREE worked on a mobile application that is used almost daily by
youth can give TREE a unique popularity that no other student activity has.
- Competitions: Ranking first place in the PhAI competition and other previous competitions can
make TREE a more trusted place for students, especially freshmen.
- Digital Identity: TREE cares for its social media image through fun and engaging content varying
from the logo, 'character,' and campaigns that make it unique among other student activities.
Weaknesses
- Persona: It's not obvious what TREE provides. A lot of people do not know about the application,
similar to what happened with Rabbit last year.
- Technical Committee: It is unclear what this committee provides or even what majors they focus
on.
Opportunities
- Most students prefer Instagram and TikTok over Facebook, so TREE should focus more on these
platforms.
- Posting short videos can increase engagement. TREE can share behind-the-scenes clips, student
stories, and fun moments.
- Using Instagram Reels and Stories is a good idea as students check them daily. Following TikTok
trends can help TREE gain more followers.
Threats
- Algorithm Changes Affecting TREE: Facebook's algorithm prioritizes posts from friends over pages
like TREE unless they generate high engagement. If TREE's content does not encourage
interaction, visibility will drop.
- Competition with Other Student Activities: TREE competes with other student groups that may
have larger followings, better engagement strategies, or more visually appealing content.
Additionally, student interests shift quickly, making it difficult to maintain engagement.
Analysis of TREE's Social Media Performance
- There is low engagement on TikTok and Instagram. Facebook has slightly better engagement, but
still low overall.
- A posting schedule is necessary, with at least 3-4 posts per week (including reels, posts, or
stories).
- An engagement strategy should be implemented, such as responding to comments or liking them
so users see 'Liked by admin,' which will make the page appear more engaging.
