* Windows users who are installing the VGA card for the first
R

time will be prompted to install the driver for the VGA card as
soon as Windows starts. We suggest that you first click on
R

cancel to bypass driver installation. After Windows has R

completely loaded, insert the AGP card Driver Pack CD-ROM

into your CD-ROM drive. Smart Installation will automatically
run. Then, follow the instructions on the screen to complete
driver installation. If you want to install the VGA driver without
using the VGA Driver Setup Tool, install the nv4_disp.inf file at
D:\nVIDIA\WIN2K\nv4_disp.inf via the pathway Start/Settings/
Control Panel/Display Properties/settings/Advanced/Adapter.

* Since AGP support was not written into NT 4.0 at the time it was
released, NT4.0 does not detect the AGP properly. Windows R

NT Service Pack 3 or later must first be installed to enable the

NT4.0 to recognize the AGP driver.
(The Service Pack Update is offered at www.microsoft.com.)

Troubleshooting Tips
The following troubleshooting tips may help if you experience
problems. Contact your dealer for more advanced troubleshooting
information.
Check that the card is seated properly in the AGP slot.
Ensure the display cable is securely fastened to the card's
display connector.
Make sure that the monitor and computer are plugged in and
receiving power.
If necessary, disable any built-in graphics capabilities on your
motherboard. For more information, consult your computer's
manual or manufacturer.
(NOTE: Some manufacturers do not allow the built-in graphics to be disabled or to become
the secondary display.)
Make sure you selected the appropriate display device and
graphics card when you installed the display driver.
If you have problems during boot up, start your computer in
R
Safe Mode. In Windows XP/ 2000/ ME/ 98/ 95, you can use
