§ Laplace Transform:

Definition 1. Let f (t) be a function of real variable t, defined over the interval
[0, ∞). Then the Laplace transform of f (t) is denoted by L{f (t)} and is

1. State the Existence theorem of Laplace transform.
2. Using the definition, find the Laplace transform of the following functions:

Theorem 1. (Linearity Property of LT)


Let f (t) and g(t) be two functions whose Laplace transforms exist, then for
any constants c1 , c2 , we have

L{c1 f (t) + c2 g(t)} = c1 L{f (t)} + c2 L{g(t)}.

3. State and prove First Shifting Theorem of Laplace Transform.


4. State and prove Second Shifting Theorem of Laplace Transform.
5. Find Laplace transform of the following functions:
