INSTRUCTIONS TO RUN THE EPAN FILE FROM .

HTML

You will have to extract/copy the epan.html file from the zip folder and save it on your
computer desktop or a folder. This application will be used to generate the .xml file format
ePAN for your submission.

Follow the instructions below to use ePAN correctly. Please note you do not need to be
connected to the internet. Do fill in the form using a latest web browser such as latest
Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer version 10 and above, and Microsoft Edge.

1. Open the attachment ePAN-2024-version11AndGuide.zip. You should see a file –


epan.HTML. The icon should be an internet browser icon, e.g. Internet Explorer
icon, Google Chrome icon, Edge, etc.

2. Right click on the ‘epan.html’ and click ‘Copy’. Right click on the desktop of your
computer and click ‘Paste’.

3. The file on your desktop should appear as epan.html.

4. Double click on the file “epan.html” and it should open and display the ePAN
form.

5. Fill up the information as required. Do not manually fill in the date, click on the “D”
and a calendar will appear. Select the date from the calendar.

6. Once you have filled in all the information, scroll down to the bottom and look for
“Submission of PAN”. Under the file location type in your “VESSEL NAME” and click
on the “SAVE” button. Do not type in any extensions. The application will
automatically generate two files on your Downloads folder. The filenames will be:

a. YOUR VESSEL NAME.txt


b. YOUR VESSEL NAME.xml

7. Click “Keep” button when the web browser prompts you the following message.

9. Click “OK” button when the web browser prompts you the following message.

10. Attach the file YOUR VESSEL NAME.xml to your email message and send to
[email protected]

Once we receive your email and the file is in order, you will receive a confirmation email from
us. If you have any problem using the ePAN please call us at +65 6221 3127 or email us
with the screenshot of the problem.

For subsequent ePAN submission follow these steps:

1. Open epan.html
2. Scroll to “Retrieve the Data” at the bottom of form
3. Click on “Choose File” button
4. Go to Desktop or folder and select the file YOUR VESSEL NAME.txt
5. Click on “Load” button – at this point all data entered previously will be reloaded into
the form
6. Update Voyage number, ETA, expiry date of certificates (if any changes), Last 10
port of calls list and etc.
7. Once all info updated proceed follow steps 6 and 10 as above.
