• This position is responsible for guiding efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of all
Instrumentation equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls and safety/security systems. Identify
and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations. This broad
primary role includes loss elimination, risk management and life cycle asset management.

• Works with project engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified
installations. The Instrument Reliability Engineer is responsible for adhering to the Life Cycle Asset
Management (LCAM) process throughout the entire life cycle of new assets.

• Participates in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning
plans.

• Participates in the development of criteria for and evaluation of equipment and technical MRO
suppliers and technical maintenance service providers. Develops acceptance tests and inspection
criteria.

• Participates in the final check-out of new installations. This includes factory and site acceptance testing
that will assure adherence to functional specifications.

Turnaround And Inspection Engineer

Skills: QA / QC / Inspection

Turnaround and Inspection (T&I) maintenance experience who will apply an extensive and diverse
Knowledge and experience, analyze and interpret conceptual ideas into workable solutions for complex
problems and issues. Also, address and resolve critical situations, both technical and non-technical. UGP
was brought on stream in 1980. The plant current processing capacity is 2.40 billion standard cubic feet
per day (BSCFD) of gas. The plant products are NGL, Ethane, Sales Gas and Liquid Sulfur.

Key Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:


Participate in the yearly operating plan budget, and the Mid-Year and Year-End Accountability reports.

Ensure internal orders, notifications and work orders (PM-03) are initiated as per the SAP workflow
requirements pertaining to the T&I work scope.

Ensure preparation of detailed T&I schedules and the Critical Path Diagrams form together with
identifying the required manpower utilizing the available software, such as Primavera, Microsoft Project,
etc. Ensure contractor awareness of the T&I final schedule. Review detailed T&I schedules and submit
them to the T&I director

Ensure shutdown and startup detailed activities are incorporated in the Primavera/MS Project schedule,
including the systems and equipment release schedule.

Coordinate for the timely completion of pre-shutdown work, such as the prefabrication of new piping
sections, or the re-tubing of heat exchangers, etc. This includes all work order types that will be included
in the shutdown scope of work.

Arrange special tool certifications for equipment such as air winches, cutting machines, overhead cranes
and baskets.

Prepare lists of all expense project packages and ensure all required expense projects are developed and
approved.

Lead contract procurement related to all expense projects.

Ensure all scope, from all parties are consolidated in one T&I scope including EIS schedule and to try to
optimize the T&I schedule, duration, and cost.

Coordinate all needed logistics, including those with external organizations.

Ensure the development of T&I work packages and provide planning progress report to management.

Ensure the T&Is is being executed within the defined boundaries of cost, schedule and quality.

Consult with senior management for approving or rejecting scope changes and advise them on the risk
these changes create to the T&I schedule and cost goals.

Develop T&I execution plans.

Develop the “daily progress report” for management during execution.

Provide general coordination to all concerned parties to ensure that required information is available

Evaluate and introduce best practices and new technologies from all over the world to help the UR to
achieve best in class positions.

Report and analyze key performance indices (KPI).

Review and evaluate the capabilities of vendors and contractors to determine their acceptability to
perform major services to UR. Act as the department representative in dealings with vendors and
manufacturers.

Work on or with task forces assigned to investigate incidents or solve specific problems. Perform cost
analyses and value engineering studies as appropriate. Undertake special assignments requiring
extensive technical experience and discretion when dealing with outside organizations.

Conduct seminars in the resolution of technical problems with personnel in other engineering
organizations. Write papers for peer-reviewed journals on engineering studies and projects the
candidate has overseen.

Act as a professional mentor to less senior specialists and engineers.

Minimum Requirements
You will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering. A master’s degree or a Ph.D. in corrosion engineering is
highly desirable as well as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, NACE and API certifications.

You will have 15 years of professional experience in the field of corrosion engineering, including 5 years
as an engineer in charge of technical work in corrosion engineering. Experience working with
unconventional resources would be an advantage.

You will have achieved industry recognition through activities in professional societies and industrial
organizations, such as ASME, ASCE, ASTM, API, NACE, SEI, and others.

As the successful candidate you will be expected to work in remote areas depending on the project you
are assigned to.
