Dear Parents of Seniors,
Congratulations, it is the last semester of your child’s Senior year! This is exciting for both you and your student. In preparing for the remainder of this school year we have listed below several informational items. Please take the time to review this information together and contact our office if you have any questions or concerns. Also enclosed you will find the End of the Year Schedule and a Senior Information Sheet on Commencement. Outstanding Debts - If you owe any money for any items, including, but not limited to, failed dual enrollment classes, lost or damaged books, library fines, athletic equipment, or band items, you must take care of those prior to Monday, May 19th at 12:00 pm. Invitations, Caps/Gowns - Caps and gowns should have already been ordered. Please contact Jostens immediately at 800.567.8367, if you have not already placed your order. Caps and gowns will be delivered to the school and we will distribute them on Monday, May 12th. Senior Honors Night - All seniors are invited to attend the annual Senior Honors Night on Wednesday, May 7th at 7:00 pm in the LGIA. At this event, Seniors are recognized for various academic achievements, awards, recognitions, and scholarships. We hope you and your graduate will be able to attend. Graduation Date & Details - Graduation for the Class of 2025 will be Thursday, May 22nd at 7:00 pm in the High School Gymnasium. As a reminder per the student handbook any senior who misses more than 10 days may not be able to participate in Commencement and/or Prom. We will provide a photographer that will be taking each graduate’s photo as they receive their diploma. More information will be provided to you before Graduation. Senior Composite Photos – Lifetouch will be here on Wednesday, May 21st to take Senior’s Photos in their caps and gowns for a Senior Class Composite. There is NO fee for this and no obligation to order a package, although there is an opportunity to purchase if you so choose. Please see the included schedule for specific times. Senior Breakfast – We will be holding our annual Senior Breakfast at the Essenhaus in Middlebury, IN, on Graduation morning at 9:00 am. This breakfast is for students only. Students will be responsible for their own transportation to and from breakfast. Each Senior’s meal will be covered by monies from their Senior Class Fund. This is a fun opportunity for the students to eat together one last time and spend some time opening their time capsules from Freshman year. Students Age Eighteen - may register to vote, please encourage your Senior to register at his/her township office or at the Secretary of State’s office as soon as they become eligible. Males are required to register for the Selective Services, the forms may be obtained from the Post Office or registration may be completed online. School Email – Email and Google accounts for the Class of 2025 will be disabled on June 1st, 2025. Please transfer all important information you have on that account over to your own personal email account. We hope this information is helpful, especially for those of you for whom this is the first “Senior experience.” We would appreciate your assistance in encouraging your student to stay focused throughout their last quarter of their senior year. Maintaining high academic excellence and exhibiting appropriate behavior will only enhance the senior year journey.
