 INTRODUCTION:

This report provides a detailed account of my internship experience at Maruti Suzuki Revenkar
Motors, Dharwad. The primary objective of this internship was to gain practical exposure to the
automobile industry, understand showroom operations, and develop essential skills in sales,
customer service, and business management.

Internships serve as a bridge between academic learning and real-world application, offering
firsthand experience in a professional setting. At Maruti Suzuki Revenkar Motors, I had the
opportunity to observe and participate in various aspects of showroom management, including
customer interactions, sales procedures, vehicle financing, and after-sales services.

During my time at the showroom, I got to see how cars are sold, how customers make their
buying decisions, the impact of being a good salesperson, and what goes on behind the scenes in
managing inventory, financing, and after-sales service. It wasn’t just about observing. I actively
assisted in various tasks, interacted with customers and tried to manipulate their buying decision,
and got a firsthand feel of how a dealership functions on a daily basis. It also helped me develop
soft skills such as leadership qualities, convincing power, and strong explanatory skills.

The internship also helped me develop social skills through various aspects of my work.
Engaging with customers, answering their queries, and explaining vehicle features improved my
confidence and communication abilities. Moreover, working alongside experienced professionals
in the showroom gave me a deeper understanding of teamwork, time management, and problem-
solving in a professional setting. This experience not only enhanced my technical knowledge
about automobiles but also helped me grow as an individual, preparing me for future career
opportunities in sales, marketing, or management.

 CHALLENGES FACED:

frequent inquiries. As a student, adjusting to the pace of work and staying on top of tasks
was initially challenging.

 The loan and financing options available to customers involved technical financial terms
that were new and difficult to grasp at first. Understanding the various financing models,
interest rates, and EMI structures required extra effort.

 Handling demanding customers and addressing their concerns, especially when they had
specific preferences or requirements, was sometimes difficult. It required patience and a
high level of communication skills to manage these situations effectively.

confidence in interacting with customers, explaining products, and closing deals. The

managing records, was a challenge. Prioritizing tasks and improving time management
skills were essential to keeping up with the workload.

short span of time was overwhelming. It was challenging to retain such a large amount of
information and present it accurately to customers.

8. Handling Stress During Peak Hours

 During busy periods, such as festive seasons or special promotions, the pressure to handle
numerous customers at once increased, causing stress. Balancing customer service while
maintaining quality was a key challenge.

Despite these challenges, overcoming them helped build resilience, and develop essential
professional skills. The friendly work atmosphere made it easier to overcome the challenges, as
my colleagues made me feel more comfortable with their constant help and support.
