Justification for Inclusion of research papers in the Journals notified on UGC website during the last five years.
1. The University proposes the retention of same number of journals as all of them are listed in UGC-CARE list of journals. As
per the guidelines of UGC, the UGC-CARE List has two groups of journals: Group I and Group II.
2. Group I includes journal found qualified through UGC-CARE protocols whereas, Group II includes journals which are indexed
in globally accepted databases, such as Scopus (Source list) or Web of Science (Arts and Humanities Citation Index Source
Publication, Science Citation Index Expanded Source Publication, Social Science Citation Index Source Publication). (Refer

3. As per the DVV received from NAAC regarding publication details provided by INFLIBNET, the university has
121 papers published in journals indexed in Scopus and 109 papers published in journals indexed in web of
science (Refer Screenshot B & C). Therefore the number of research papers in the Journals notified on UGC
website during the last five years cannot be zero under any circumstances.

4. The University also proposes to include the research papers published in OLD UGC list of journals, since at the time of
publication; these journals were included in the UGC list. Few available screenshots have also been attached for reference.
