Preface
OIR is the first test conducted in the SSB. The OIR test
contains various aptitude based questions on several
topics. This is an important test and plays a major role in
your selection in phase 1 testing including the final merit
list.
It is a basic reasoning test, one’s ability to answer quickly
and correctly is tested in this test.
With basic logic one can answer maximum number of
questions but practising this test can give one the little
extra edge that is needed to get through the screening in
the vast competition.
So it is best to practise some of these questions before
going to the SSB.
There are 2 booklets for OIR. Each booklet will have around
35-40 questions each.
There is no negative marking in this test so one should try
doing as many questions as possible.
One should not spend a lot of time on one question. If you
don’t know the answer then move on.
This book covers most type of questions that come in OIR
test thoroughly solving it will be enough to get through the
OIR test.
