PHOTOSHOP MOCKUP TEMPLATE

UNIVERSAL ILLUSTRATED USER MANUAL


IMPORTING A DESIGN INTO MOCKUP

1. Double-click the red smart layer with “[YOUR IMAGE HERE]“.


A new file will open.

2. If you see a red layer again called “DOUBLE-CLICK AGAIN !“, please
double-click again. A new file will open. Now two new files are opened.

3. Copy & paste your artwork into the second file and save. The smart
layer will be updated.
4. Then save the first new file. The smart layer will be updated.

Some mockups have just one smart layer so simply place your artwork into the new file.
MAKING A BACKGROUND

1. Double-click the green smart layer named “[YOUR BACKGROUND


HERE]“. A new file will open.

2. Copy & paste a background texture into the file. Or switch a layer on, if
a texture is included.
3. If you need, scale the texture using Transform tool in Photoshop.
4. Save. The smart layer will be updated.

5. If you feel it, you can change Opacity percentage of the green Shadow
layer.

You don‘t have to import a texture. You can just color background or make a texture using Photoshop inside the
smart layer.
SHADING AND LIGHTING ADJUSTMENT

1. Click the blue or green Lighting layer. Adjust Brightness in Properties


panel.
2. Click the blue or green Shading layer. Adjust Lightness in Properties
panel.

Default setup has back light but, you can also play with mask of that layers to change light direction.

For the most usage, default shading/lighting setup is optimal.


COLOR FILL LAYERS

Some mockups have Color Fill Layers to color all visible surface, witch are
not editable via smart objects. Just double-click to a yellow layer and pick a
color. Default color is white.
OTHER ADJUSTMENT

If you need other adjustment or correction, feel free to use Photoshop tools for other file editing. Hue/Saturation,
clone stamp, eraser etc. All layers are editable.
