Task 9

The document outlines the SAMR model, which describes four stages of technology integration in education: Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition. It emphasizes the importance of using technology to enhance and transform learning experiences, moving from basic substitution to innovative tasks that were previously inconceivable. The goal is to design activities that positively impact students' learning outcomes through effective technology use.

TASK 9

Name JAY ANN P. SARMIENTO

Course and Section BEED 2-A

Using SAMR, think of how you can integrate a technology tool for each phase
to show the transition from using it to enhance instruction leading to a
transformative use of technology. Design a task that can have a positive effect on
students’ learning outcomes.

Task or Learning Activities

In the Redefinition stage of the SAMR model, technology is

used to enable tasks that were previously inconceivable,
transforming the learning experience. To integrate a
Redefinition
technology tool at this level, consider activities that go
beyond traditional classroom methods, leveraging
technology to create new learning opportunities.

In the Modification stage of the SAMR model, technology

significantly enhances the learning experience by
redesigning tasks to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Modification

In the Augmentation stage of the SAMR model, technology

acts as a direct substitute for traditional methods but with
Augmentation some functional improvements that enhance the learning
experience.

In the Substitution stage of the SAMR model, technology

serves as a direct replacement for traditional methods
without significant functional improvements.
