I. Objectives
A. Content Standard: The learner understands the relationship of written text and the
context in which it was developed.
B. Performance Standard: The learner writes 1000 word critiques of a selected on the
basis of its claim/s, context and properties as a written materials.
C. Learning Competency:
At the end of the lesson, 85% to 100% of the students will be able to:
1. identify the explicit and implicit information in the text;
2. distinguish and determine whether what type of claim is a given statement; and
3. select and organize sentences using the appropriate types of claim.
