ARRIVAL HONORS SEQUENCE


UST ALUMNI PARADE 23 SEPTEMBER 2011

PART 1. ARRIVAL HONORS

1. The Company is pre-positioned in front of the Main Building at “TIKAS


PAHINGA”

2. When the Honoree arrives and received by the Host, the Corps
Commander brings his staff to attention and commands the troops, “HUMANDA”. The
Corps Commander then faces about and waits for the Honoree and Host to occupy their
designated position.

MC: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, ANNOUNCING THE ARRIVAL OF THE


NATIONAL COMMANDER, GOLDEN CROSS AND SABER FRATERNITY, MR.
RENE BAUTISTA. HE IS WELCOMED BY THE ASSISTANT CHIEF OF STAFF FOR
EDUCATION AND TRAINING, G8, UST ROTC, MAJ ESTRELLITO P ROMERO, JR.
(Change name and title of Honoree and Host as appropriate) PAUSE…..

3. The Host will escort the Honoree to the ceremonial area until both the
Honoree and Host shall have stepped on the dais provided for them.

MC: IN A SHORT WHILE A COMPANY-SIZED UNIT WILL RENDER HONORS TO


OUR HONOREE. THE CEREMONIAL UNIT IS COMPOSED OF ELEMENTS OF THE
MODEL PLATOON AND THE UST BAND AND ABLY COMMANDED BY THE
CORPS COMMANDER, CDT 1CL IKE REYES. PAUSE…..

4. The Corps Commander then faces about and commands his troops
“TANGHAL, TA” and then faces about and commands his staff to present arms, At this
point, everybody executes hand salutes or present arms and the band plays the
appropriate music (please specify the music; ask Maj Celestial) for the Honoree.

5. At the last tune of the music, the Corps Commander commands his Staff
to come to attention. He then faces about and commands the troops: “BABA, TA”. The
Corps Commander then faces the Honoree, salutes and says, “GINOO, HANDA NA
PO ANG TANOD PANDANGAL UPANG LIBUTIN”. The Honoree acknowledges the
salute.

6. The Honoree/s escorted by the Host will march (left foot first) from the dais
and “TROOP THE LINE”.

7. At about 8 paces away from the colors, the Corps Commander commands
(starting with right foot) “MGA PINUNO, ANG MGA KULAY. TANGHAL, TA” and
commands “BABA, TA” as soon as they have passed 3 paces away from the left-most
Color guard. When the reviewing party turns to the right, the Corps Commander returns
directly to his post while the Honoree and Host continue their march towards the dais.

8. As soon as the Honoree and the Hosts occupy the dais, the Corps
Commander faces about and commands his troops “TANGHAL, TA” and then faces
about and commands his staff to present arms.

9. After the salute has been acknowledged by the Honoree, the Corps
Commander commands his staff to attention and executes about face and commands
the troops “BABA, TA” and faces about, salutes the Honoree and says “GINOO,
TAPOS NA PO ANG PARANGAL”. The Honoree acknowledges the salute and says
“MANGYARING LUMAPIT KA”. The Corps Commander puts his sword in the
scabbard, walks towards the Honoree, salutes, and the customary handshake follows.

10. The Corps Commander returns to his post, draws his sword, and
announces “MGA KASAMA. IPINAAABOT NG ATING BISITA (PANAUHING
PANDANGAL), SI GINOONG RENE BAUTISTA, NATIONAL COMMANDER,
GOLDEN CROSS AND SABER FRATERNITY, ANG KANYANG TAOS-PUSONG
PASASALAMAT SA PARANGAL NA IGINAWAD NATIN SA KANYA NGAYONG
HAPON”

11. The Corps Commander faces about, draws his sword, and come to
attention. Afterwhich, the Honoree and Host face each other, salutes and shake hands.
(Audience clap their hands) The Host will then escort the Honoree/s to their place in the
Grandstand.

MC: (To be announced after the ceremonies for the GOHAS) LADIES AND
GENTLEMEN, THAT CONCLUDES THE ARRIVAL HONORS. MAY WE NOW INVITE
OUR GUESTS AND FRIENDS TOWARDS THE GRANDSTAND TO WITNESS THE
PARADE AND REVIEW IN HONOR OF THE UST ROTC ALUMNI.

Note:

1. Members of the Honor Platoon will comprise the Arrival Honor Elements.

2. Corps of Sponsors to don lei on Honoree/s.

3. Host will vary as ordered or as per dictate of protocol.

4. All concerned to strictly follow the timings indicated above.
