INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES:

a). You are provided with a folder saved as JJEB-2016 where you will find necessary files
for the examinations.

b). Each candidate is provided with a new Compact Disc ROM where all the work shall be
stored.

c). Each candidate has a printer connected to his / her computer.

d). Each candidate is provided with blank printing papers of A4 size.

e). Attempt only three questions in this paper.

f). Use of self help wizard and templates are not allowed.

QUESTION 1 (Word Processing Application)
Open a word processing file saved as printer and carry out the following instructions.

a. Adjust paper orientation to portrait. (01 mark)


b. Convert your page size to A4. (01 mark)
c. Adjust page setting to 2 cm for top and bottom; 1.5cm for left and right. (01 mark)
d. Copy the work to page three. (01 mark)
e. Centre the heading. (01 mark)
f. Convert the heading to upper case. (01 mark)
g. Double underline the heading. (01 mark)
h. Adjust font size to 20.5 for your heading. (01 mark)
i. Expand the heading to 200%. (01 mark)
j. Change the heading font colour to green. (01 mark)
k. Adjust font name for work in page 3 to Arial Rounded MT Bold. (01 mark)
l. Highlight the heading using a grey 25% colour. (01 mark)
m. Insert a watermark in page 2 to read THIS PAGE IS BLANK. (01 mark)
n. In page 3, add a hanging paragraph boarder style around the work. (01 mark)
o. Change line spacing to 1.5. (01 mark)
p. Convert page 3 background colour to sky - blue. (01 mark)

QUESTION 2 (Spreadsheet Application)

Open a spreadsheet file saved as mark and carry out instructions below.

a. Copy the work to sheet2 (01 mark)


b. Rename sheet1 as ALL, sheet2 and COPIED and sheet3 as STREAM (01 mark)
c. Change worksheet tab colours to ALL = Red, COPIED = Green and STREAM =
grey. (01 mark)

d. In sheet2, add a column for GRADE after each subject. (01 mark)
e. Using a grading scale given below, assign an appropriate grade against each student
and subject. (01 mark)

f. Add two column names for AGGREGATE and POSITION just after the last

i. Add an all boarder style around your work in sheet2. (01 mark)
j. Make sure that the work fits on an A4 paper size. (01 mark)
k. Using the cell for position, sort your work in ascending order. (01 mark)
l. Add a heading MAKENKE PRIMARY SCHOOL P7 2016. (01 mark)
m. Fill the heading with a light background colour. (01 mark)
n. Merge and centre the heading. (01 mark)
o. Filter out all records of students from stream B and paste them in sheet stream.

Open a presentation file saved as agriculture and carry out the following instructions:

a. Open a master slide and carry out the following tasks:


 Font name title is Stencil. (01 mark)
 Title font size is 38. (01 mark)
 Title animation style upon entrance is expanding. (01 mark)
 Content font name is Arial Rounded MT Bold. (01 mark)
 Content font size is 28. (01 mark)
 Content animation style upon entrance is checkerboard. (01 mark)
 Master background colour is light green. (01 mark)
 Slide transition style is Random bars. (01 mark)
 Advanced timings are automatic at 4 sec. (01 mark)
 Slide speed is slow. (01 mark)
 Apply to all slides in the master. (01 mark)

b. Insert a relevant image in slide 1 between the heading and the sub title. (01 mark)
c. Add header of your name and footer of your index number. (01 mark)
d. Insert a new slide, slide 5 and carry out the following. (01 mark)
e. Using data in slide 4, plot a column graph. (01 mark)

QUESTION 4 (Database)

Open a database saved as fees payment and carry out the following instructions.

a. Adjust StudentID to have a pattern "KKL-00-1998/"000 (01 mark)


b. Insert a caption in the field for Fees Paid to Tution. (01 mark)
c. Add a comment against each field in the table. (01 mark)
d. Sort your records in order of StudentID (01 mark)
e. Create three queries to return students whose:
 tuition paid is between 800,000 and 1,000,000. Save the query as tuition. (01 mark)
 dormitory in not Coates. Save the query as coates. (01 mark)
 month of payment is February. Save the query as february. (01 mark)
f. Create a form displaying all the records on one sheet. Save the form as fees.

g. Your form should have the following: (01 mark)

 Form title, DATA ENTRY FORM. (01 mark)


 Add an image to work as a badge for your form. (01 mark)
 Include a footer to have your name. (01 mark)
 Fill background colour to light green. (01 mark)
 Add a new field balance. (01 mark)
 Use a formular to return balance for each student given that tuition paid is shs.

Using a publication application of your choice, design a front side of a book cover for a new
book writer in your community and save it as book-cover. The book should have the
