This syllabus outlines the requirements and pieces for saxophone grades 1 through 8, covering alto, baritone, soprano, and tenor saxophones.

The syllabus covers alto, baritone, soprano, and tenor saxophones.

For Grade 1, candidates must perform three pieces, choosing one from each of three lists (A, B and C). There are technique requirements for scales and arpeggios as well.

This syllabus is valid from 2006 until further notice. Related instrument option: Candidates may play their List C piece on any of the saxophones listed above (there is no advantage to be gained over other candidates in taking this option). All other requirements must be performed using the saxophone on which the candidate has entered.
