Artificial Intelligence (AI) has played a role in shaping the modern education and increasing
the creativity of learners along with improving their critical thinking. Insights on artificial
intelligence is recognized as a research field belonging to computer science that correlates to
the enhancement of human intelligence.(Shi and Zheng, 2006). Taking into account this
complicated framework of analysis, the study aims to identify the challenges from a certain
viewpoint. In recent years, the usage of AI in education is increasing exponentially, along
with the advancement of its tools designed for both learners and educators. AI fits into the
intricate pattern of a vast area of machine learning based on intelligent behaviour built on
automatic learning algorithms. AI supports students and teachers by helping them broaden
their capabilities and at the same time learn independently.
It's beneficial to understand the origins of AI. Artificial intelligence has a long history dating
back to the 1950’s with pivotal moments at every decade. In the 1950’s computing machines
fundamentally functioned as large-scale calculators. Ages ago, before computing machines
became the modern devices they are today, a mathematician and a computer scientist
imagined the possibility of Artificial Intelligence. This is where AI's origins really begin in the
intricate dance of philosophical reasoning and mathematical accuracy. From Aristotle's
foundational work in formal logic, which established systematic rules of inference and
reasoning, to the creative neural network model proposed by McCulloch and Pitts in 1940’s,
early scholars were unknowingly sketching the blueprint for artificial intelligence. The
concept further evolved with Alan Turing's revolutionary 1950‘s paper, which not only
introduced the famous Turing Test as a standard for machine intelligence but also validated
the philosophical and computational inquiry into whether machines could actually think.
These pivotal moments represent more than just academic exercises, they were critical
bridges in humanity's quest to understand intelligence itself, transforming abstract
philosophical observations into tangible computational frameworks that would eventually
escalate to the knowledgeable AI systems we encounter today. The developing field of
artificial intelligence truly came to life during the landmark Dartmouth Workshop
(home.dartmouth.edu) of 1956, organized by John McCarthy, which formally verified AI as a
distinct academic discipline. This crucial gathering marked the dawn of the "cognitive
revolution," a progressive period that seamlessly integrated psychology, linguistics, and
computer science into a complete approach to understanding intelligence. The workshop
embodied the essence of a versatile approach that would become AI's hallmark, bringing
together scholars from diverse fields to explore the fundamental questions of machine
intelligence. Researchers began to recognize that to understand and comprehend artificial
intelligence required more than just computational prowess, it needed a sophisticated
dialogue between computer science, psychology, neuroscience, and philosophy. This
cooperative spirit transformed AI from a mere technical achievement into a sincere
intellectual pursuit, bridging gaps between human perception and computational potential,
and setting the stage for the revolutionary developments that would unravel in the decades
to come.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a tool in the educational world, changing both
research and education. It improves academic research by making it more efficient and
quality through tools that aid with grammar, structure, and data analysis. Researchers can
evaluate vast amounts of information, identify patterns, and automate repetitive tasks via
the use of AI tools. In education, AI powered tools provide personalized learning experiences
by examining students' needs and adapting their teaching methods accordingly. It also
simplifies grading processes, offering students more accurate and timely feedback while
giving the educators time to focus on more important tasks. As AI continues to evolve, its
applications in academics are expanding, promoting innovation and altering traditional
practices in both research and learning.
AI technologies are increasingly being integrated into education, with the potential to
significantly alter how students learn. AI is helpful in student in various ways, not only for
researching, but also for evaluating its effects on students' mental and emotional strength in
both physical and cognitive learning. Furthermore, Al tools makes researching more easier
and effective. Researching the impact of AI on academic performance is crucial for
understanding its influence on student learning and development.
