Gmail is one of the most widely used web emails. Since Gmail is cloud-based, as long as you have
an internet connection, you can access your Gmail inbox from anywhere. Gmail provides a variety
of standard email functions, such as composing and sending mail. In addition to these basic
functions, Gmail also includes powerful tools that can organize, automate and manage your inbox.
These are some of the basic Gmail functions everyone should know how to do when getting
started:
● Filters - Create filters to sort and manage all your incoming mail. Gmail filters can
automatically apply labels, forward messages, or delete emails.
● Stars - Starred messages get pushed to the top of your inbox and can be marked as
priorities.

Here are a few helpful tricks to get the most out of Gmail:
● Archive email - Since you have unlimited email storage space, there is no need to delete
emails. Instead, you can archive all emails that have been read or tasks completed. Why
archive instead of delete? This is because when you archive those emails, you can use the
search function to search for and retrieve the information.
● Undo a sent email - “Undo Send” gives you a 30-second window to retract messages
where you may have made a spelling mistake or communicated something poorly.
You will receive emails from different departments of the school, including promotion of events or
competitions, updates of learning content in Google Classroom, and reminders of homework
submissions in Google Classroom.
Therefore, please check your email inbox regularly. You can also add your school’s Google
account to your phone to receive school messages.
You can press the button pointed above to open other google services:
● Google Drive
● Google Classroom
● Google Calendar
● Google Doc
● Google Sheet
