Course Objectives:
Big data is a term that describes the large volume of data – both structured and unstructured – that
inundates a business on a day-to-day basis. But it’s not the amount of data that’s important. It’s what
organizations do with the data that matters. Big data can be analyzed for insights that lead to better
decisions and strategic business moves. The V’s of Big Data:
✔ Volume
✔ Variety
✔ Veracity
✔ Velocity
✔ Value

This course introduces the fundamental concepts of bid-data and bid-data analysis. It will enable the
understanding and examination of the major bid-data analysis tools and platforms. Also includes the
study of the fundamental file types and ecosystem of bid-data processing algorithms. It conducts an
analytical project with contemporary big data applications with performance analysis tools.
✔ Big data introduction
✔ Big-data modeling and management
✔ Big data integration and processing
✔ Machine learning with big data
✔ Graph Analytics for big data
✔ Big data project

Pre-requisites: Machine Learning or Data Science

Course Outcomes:

CO1 Explain the background of bid-data analysis and tools.

CO2 Analyze and describe the bid-data ecosystem for storing and retrieving data, establishing
the communication models among the components of the bid-data platform.
CO3 Apply machine learning, cloud computing, and distributed operating concepts with bid-
data applications. Gather the knowledge of understanding the reports generated by the
applications
