Problem #4:
Given D = 4.5°, and T = 500’, compute the remaining curve data.

Problem #5:
A circular horizontal curve has a radius of 1000’ and a deflection angle of 20°. The point
of tangency (PT) of the curve is at station 57+29.25. What is the station of the point of
inflection (PI)? Calculate the curve data.

Problem #6:
What is the azimuth when the northing and easting coordinates of two points are
(1500,2300) and (725,1250).

Problem #7:
A new road is proposed as follows:
Starting at point A with the following northing and easting coordinates (27000,10000)
and continue along bearing of N 35°19’34” E for 1100’ to point B. At point B, turn delta
of 45° right and continue 900’ to point C. From point C, turn 10° left and continue 1400’
terminating at point D. Determine the northing and easting coordinates of Point D. What
is the bearing for the tangent from B to C?

Problem #8:
What is the azimuth of the back tangent when the bearing of the forward tangent is
S10°15’50”W and the deflection angle is 33°25’00’’ left.

Problem #9:
What is the deflection angle when the azimuth of the backward and forward tangents are:
322°45’05” and 235°10’45”
