The above vacancies may vary at the time of recruitment based on the necessity. Percentage of reservation: (i) 80% to Local (L), 20% Open (O) (ii) BC-25% + 4% Reservation to Muslim candidates subject to orders of Government/Honble Courts from time to time. II. ELIGIBILITY:
1. AGE: Age not below 18 years and above 35 years as on 01.07.2011. Relaxation in upper age limit is permissible upto 5 years for SC/ST/BC candidates. For in service contract workers, the age at the time of entry into the organizations of

APTRANSCO/DISCOMs as Contract worker, will be considered, to ascertain eligibility or otherwise. Contd3p

:: 3 :: 2. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

SSLC/SSC/10th Class with I.T.I. qualification in Electrician /Wireman Trade or Intermediate vocational course in Electrical Domestic Appliances and Rewinding (EDAR) and Electrical Wring & Contracting (EWC) on par with Electrical Wiring and Servicing of Electrical Appliances (EW & SEA) from a recognized Institution/Board. III. SELECTION PROCEDURE:

The candidates who are eligible as per the terms of the Notification shall have to appear for the following tests: i) Meter Reading. ii) Cycling. iii) Pole Climbing. The candidates, who pass all the above tests alone, will become eligible for further evaluation of marks secured in SSLC/SSC/10th Class and I.T.I. or Intermediate Vocational course in Electrical Domestic Appliances and Rewinding (EDAR) and Electrical Wiring & Contracting (EWC) on par with Electrical Wiring and Servicing of Electrical Appliances (EW & SEA) from a recognized Institution/Board. If all things being equal, then age will be the deciding criterion for selection. IV. V. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE: 1. Scale of Pay: 8760-170-9270-250-10520-325-12145-400-14145. 2. Probation: The candidates appointed to the post of Junior Linemen shall be placed on Probation for a period of 2 years. 3. The candidate will be governed by the rules and regulations applicable or as framed by the APCPDCL and as amended from time to time. The Tripartite Agreement entered into between the APSEB, Govt of A.P and the Employees Associations is not applicable to these candidates and they shall at no stage be entitled to claim any right what so ever arising out of the said Tripartite Agreement.

6. Applicant must compulsorily fill-up all relevant fields of application and submit application along with relevant enclosures by post/in person only.

7. Incomplete/incorrect application forms will be summarily rejected. APCPDCL under any circumstances will not entertain the information if any furnished by the candidate subsequently. Applicants should once-again check be filled in application forms at the time of submission. If any lapse is detected during the scrutiny, the candidature will be rejected even though he comes through the final stage of recruitment process or even at a later stage.

General:
The candidate shall not furnish any false tampered, fabricated information or suppress any material information while filling up the application form. If any such information is found at any subsequent stage in the recruitment process or at a later stage, his candidature will be rejected on that ground and appropriate criminal action will be taken against him. Only male candidates are eligible. The Selection Committee shall ensure that the requirements of community roster are fulfilled as per rules in force. MODALITIES FOR RECRUITMENT OF JLMs

DRAFT MODALITIES FOR RECRUITMENT OF JLMs Selection Committee: A Selection Committee comprising of Chief General Manager & Superintending Engineer/Operation will supervise the entire selection process. The candidates who pass all the above tests alone, will become eligible for further evaluation of marks secured in SSLC/SSC/10th Class and I.T.I. or Intermediate Vocational course of Electrical Domestic Appliances an rewinding (EDAR) and Electrical Wiring and Contracting (EWC) on par with Electrical Wiring and Servicing of Electrical Appliances (EW&SEA) from a recognized Institution/Board. Evaluation will be done on a scale of 100 marks with a maximum of 55 marks for the total aggregate marks obtained in SSC and ITI or SSC & Intermediate vocational course as the case may be and a maximum of 45 marks for in-service experience as contract worker in the organizations of APTRANSCO/DISCOMs. The in-service contract worker who have been working in the organizations of APTRANSCO/DISCOMs will be given weightage marks to a maximum of 45, depending on the length of the service in this organization i.e. 5 marks per every half year (i.e. 180 days) service as contract worker as per the memorandum of settlement dated.18.12.2010 reached before the Additional Commissioner of Labour and Conciliation Officer, Government of A.P. between representatives of APTRANSCO and recognized Trade Unions. Any disruption or discontinuation of service for a continuous period of 180 days and above for whatever the reason as contract worker shall be considered as if fresh commencement from the date of resumption after such discontinuation or disruption. Service less than six months will not be considered for weightage. No weightage will be given for the service rendered less than six months. Inservice contract candidates must be continuing in the organization, as on the date of this notification. A minimum of six months of continuous service as contract is necessary for considering weightage. Candidates shall appear for the tests when called for at their own cost and the utility is not responsible for any injuries during pole climbing or and cycling tests. There will be no interview.

Following documents shall be carried by the candidate for scrutiny by the Selection Committee. a) Date of Birth Certificate (SSC) with marks. b) ITI/Inter Vocational Certificate with marks. c) Community certificate, if SC/ST/BC. Status is claimed. d) Study/Bonafide certificates (Proof of Residence if private). e) In service contract worker shall submit Service Certificate from the concerned Divisional Engineer evidencing Length of Service, and Continuity of in-service as contract worker/ with recorded evidence through sub-station Log Books to be certified by the concerned Divisional Engineer. OR With recorded evidence of EPF No in his name to be certified by the concerned Divisional Engineer. f) Latest Passport size photo- 2 Nos. The selection shall be finalized duly following Roster system / Reservation. Provisional selection shall be made at first instance which shall be confirmed later. In the meanwhile, if any adverse information is received about the genuineness of documents produced, the provisional selection shall be cancelled without notice to the candidate, but such intimation of rejection will be given.

NOTE:1. For computation of period of contract service, the date of joining on such

service shall be reckoned and period of service upto the date of Notification shall be computed i.e., 15.12.2011.
2. Break in service should not exceed more than six months for computation of

weightage of marks. 3. Disqualification: Conviction in criminal case involving moral turpitude/declared

insolvent/furnishing false or tampered or fabricated information/certificates. 4. 5. Medical Fitness Certificate should be furnished at the time of joining. The decision of APCPDCL is final and reserves right to cancel at any time
