Type Effect
Step 2
- Choose Filter > Pixelate > Mosaic.
- Set cell size to 64.
- Choose Image > Adjustments > Auto Levels.
Step 3
- Choose File > Save As and save the image file name is disp_map.pad.
Step 4
- Make a copy of background layer Press Ctrl+J.
- Click on the layer Visibility icon of the copied layer to hide the layer.
- Click on Background layer and Press Ctrl+Del to set the background Color to white.
Step 5
- Choose the Horizontal Type Tool from the toolbox.
- Type the text as shown here. Press Ctrl+Enter when you finished entering the text.
- In the Character Palette, set the font to Tahoma, style to Bold leading to 60.
- Press Ctrl+T to apply the Free Transform command.
- Drag out the handles on the text to make the text larger. Press Enter to apply.
- Press Ctrl+E to Merge down the text layer and the white background layer.
Step 6
- Choose Filter > Distort > Displace.
- Set the Horizontal Scale to 50 and Vertical Scale to 50, Click OK.
- Choose the source file you made earlier (disp_map.pad).
Step 8
- Drag and drop the background copy layer onto
the create New Layer button.
- Select the copied layer and choose Filter > Stylize > Find Edges.
Step 2
- Click on the new text layer in the layer palette.
- Horizontal Type Tool still selected. Open the Character Palette change the setting to
match the figure.
- Click on the color box and enter 255,160,160 in the R,G,B boxes.
- Choose Edit > Free Transform (Ctrl+T). Drag the text to fill the screen, and then Press Enter.
Step 5
- Choose Magic Wand Tool from the toolbox.
- Click on White background to select only the background.
- Click on Create a New Layer button (Ctrl+Shift+N).
- Set the foreground color ot Black.
- Press Alt+Del to fill in the selection with black.
- Choose Select > Deselect (Ctrl+D).
Step 6
- Choose the Rectangular Marquee tool.
- Select shown here on the layer 1.
- Choose Select > Inverse (Ctrl+Shift+I).
- Press Del key to delete the outer area.
- Choose Select > Deselect (Ctrl+D).
- Set the foreground color to red.
- Click on the background layer.
- Press Alt+Del to fill the background layer to red.
Step 9
- Create New Layer.
- Click Default Foreground and Background Color Button.
- Choose Filter > Render > Clouds, Press Ctrl+F until you obtain the desired results.
Step 10
- Choose Filter > Render > Lighting Effects
- Drag the handles in the preview area to match the positions shown in figure.
- Set the Texture Channel to Red.
- Set height to 67, Click OK.
Step 13
- Click on layer 2 in the layer palette.
- Choose Soft Light from blend Mode drop-down List.
- Opacity to 45%.
Smoky Type
Step 1
- Create new work space 640x480 resolution 72.
Step 2
- Click on Foreground Color button.
- Set the color (RGB= 209,0,0).
- Press Alt+Del to fill the background to red.
Step 4
- Choose Filter > Distort >Wave.
- Set Number of Generators to 15.
- Wavelength to 24/120, Amplitude to 5/35, Scale to 100/100%, Type to Square.
- Click OK.
Step 5
- Choose Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation.
- Check the Colorize option.
- Set Hue to 23, Saturation to 25, Lightness to -26.
- Click OK.

- Choose Image > Adjustments > Curve.
- Set the graph into an S shape as shown figure.
- Click OK.

- Choose the texture layer.
- Set Blend Mode to Hard Light, Fill 70%.

- Set the Foreground color to Black.
- Choose Brush Tool from the Tools box.
- Right Click on work window
Choose Charcoal Large Smear Brush 36 px.

- Choose Filter > Distort > Wave.
- Set Number of Generators to 8,
Wavelength to 1/94, Amplitude to 24/50, Scale to 40/70%, Type to Square, Click OK.

- Choose > Filter > Distort > Diffuse Glow.
- Set Grainness to 10, Glow Amount to 2, Clear Amount to 6, Click OK.

- Set the Blend Mode to Multiply, Fill to 88%.

- Set the Foreground Color to (RGB= 255,222,0), and Background Color to Black.

- Choose Filter > Liquify.

- Set the Brush Size to 300.
- Set the Reconstruct Mode to Stiff.
- Check Show Backdrop and Set Use to Background and Mode to Behind.
- Drag and Drop on the text as you desire shape.

- Choose Filter > Blur > Blur More.
- Press Ctrl+J to duplicate the text layer.

- Click OK.
- Click on Turbulance Tool.
- Set use to Background.
- Click on the text in the text field to create distortion.

- Set the Blend Mode to Color Burn Fill to 75%.

- Press Ctrl+J to duplicate the layer.
- Set the Blend Mode to Linear Burn,
Fill to 25%.

- Choose Layer > New > layer via copy (Ctrl+J) to copy the text layer.
- Click on Create New Layer Button.
- Drag the Layer 1 above the background layer.
- Click on the switch Foreground and Background Colors button.
- Press Alt+Del
- Click on original text (Universal) Layer.
- Choose Layer > Merge Down (Ctrl+E).
- Click on the eye icon beside the Universal copy layer, to hide it.

- Double Click on layer 1 rename as Universal.
- Choose Filter > Blur >Gaussian Blur.
- Set Radius to 5, Click OK.

- Choose Filter > Stylize > Solarize.
- Choose Image > Adjustments > Auto Level (Ctrl+Shift+L).

- Choose Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation (Ctrl+U).

- Click on Universal copy Layer.

- Choose Select > Deselect (Ctrl+D).

- Drag the Earth Layer to above the Background layer.

Grunge Type
Step 1
- Create new work space 600x400 pixels, Resolution 150 pixels/inch.
- Choose Brush Tool from the Tool Box.
- Choose Hard Round 3 Pixels brush.
- Set Foreground Color to Black.
- Draw lines as shown figure.
Step 2
- Choose Filter > Artistic > Cutout.
- Change the Settings as shown figure.
- Click OK.
- Save the image as a Photoshop file.

- Choose Edit > Free Transform (Ctrl+T).
- increase the Text layer to fill the window.
- Press Enter.
- Choose Filter > Distort > Displace.
- Click OK.
- Change the Setting as shown figure.
- In file browser window choose the saved file.
- Click Open.

- Choose Edit > Transform > Rotate.
- Rotate the text and move it to the upper-right corner of the window.
- Press Enter.
- Choose Horizontal Type Tool.

- Change the Radius to 3.2 and Click OK.
- Choose Image > Adjustments > Levels.
- Drag the rightmost and center input levels sliders ot the settings shown figure.
- Click OK.

- Set Radius to 1.5 and Click OK.

- Choose Filter > Artistic > Fresco.
- Change the settings as shown in figure.
