CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

Photocopying machines have evolved into highly versatile devices capable of

performing multiple tasks such as printing and scanning. The advent of digital photocopiers

stands out as a notable advancement in photocopying technology. Today, photocopying has

become an essential aspect of our daily lives, allowing us to swiftly and efficiently duplicate

crucial documents and generate flyers for diverse events (Exotic Office Solution, 2023).

Print services are on demand with students meeting their requirements and it is

increasingly important that the products can be assisted with short notice. According to Wise

Marketing (2016), print services should use better equipment and improved waste

management to reduce waste production in order to avoid regulatory reasons. Another,

personalization is one of the useful tools of business. Printing services offer personalized print

products. With the freedom of personalization, customers tie loyalty with the business (Wise

Marketing, 2016).

Printing and photocopying are two distinct methods of reproducing documents.

Printing involves transferring a digital file to paper using ink, typically done with inkjet or

laser printers. It is used for higher-quality projects such as brochures and posters. On the other

hand, photocopying involves transferring an image from one source to another, often using a

photocopier. It is commonly used for quick and easy tasks like duplicating documents or

printing copies of photos. While printing offers higher quality and a wider color range,

photocopying is a simpler and more cost-effective process. Both methods have their

advantages depending on the specific needs of the project.

The researcher’s decided to choose the photocopier and printing services business

because there are only a few shops offering these services. By looking at how much people
want these services and who else is offering them and how much money can be made, the

researcher can learn a lot about what customers need and what new printing technology is

popular. The researcher can also figure out what might go wrong and how to make their

business successful. Overall, this business helps them understand how to run it well and make

money.

This study will cater the importance and value of the business as well as the quality

and accessibility of the services.

To the Students

From this study it helps the students to easily reproduce and distribute important

study materials such as lecture notes, hand-outs and provide access to educational activities.

Students can convenient print their materials without the need to travel anywhere which may

limit additional expenses.

To the Teachers

This study will help the teachers by printing a teaching materials, exams and

worksheet enhancing their ability to deliver quality education. Teachers can save time and

effort by quality and conveniently printing the materials if they have access to a photocopier

and printing services. The teachers can create copies of lesson plan, teaching strategies, and

educational articles to share with their colleagues.

To the Community Organizations

The researchers believed that these services is beneficial to the community

organizations because photocopier and printing services offers printing flyers, poster,

documentation and records, collaboration and networking, professional image and credibility.

To the Event Organizers

The researchers believed that these services is beneficial to the event organizers in the

barangay by printing events program, tickets, banners, making their events more organized

CHAPTER II

METHODOLOGY

The service provides an overview of the chapter and sets the context for the

researcher project. The chapter comprises all the types of research, such as research design to

determine which design is being used in the proposed project and the research locale where

the specific place will be constructed and conducted by the researchers, as well as the

respondents and the source of methods.

Research Design

This feasibility study will use a descriptive quantitative research design. A descriptive

research design is used to describe and analyze the photocopy and printing services. By using

the design, the researcher will be able to collect and determine the data gathered with the use

of checklist questionnaire. Survey will be used because this research design will be done

collecting and analyzing data from one hundred (100) respondents.

The Primary data will be the gathered by giving questionnaires to the respondents to the

location where the questionnaires is being distributed. The Secondary data will be gathered by
conducting interviews with the existing service providers of Printech Pro!. This interview will

provide valuable insights on how the researchers can improve the services offered to

customers. In addition, additional information will be gathered from the internet.

business. It lists all the raw materials, equipment and step-by step procedure to turn the raw

materials into finished product. Each materials, tools and equipment are listed with its

corresponding value and how it’s used for production. This part also talks about the general

workplace. This includes cleaning the machines and equipment regularly, such as

photocopiers, removing dust and debris. Regular cleaning of machines and equipment are also

essential for safety and cleanliness. Dust and toner particles can accumulate inside the

machines over time and leads to malfunctioning of the machines. By implementing these

practices, the business can create a safer and cleaner environment for both workers and

5 quality of the copied output.

The processed digital image is sent to the printer component of the photocopier,
6 which prints the copies onto paper.

Depending on the photocopier’s capabilities, additional finishing options may be

available, such as stapling, whole punching, or sorting the copies.
7
The photocopier delivers the finished copies to an output tray or finishing tray,
where the user can collect them.
8

Workflow of the Process (For Printing)

The document is sent to the printer, and the printing process begins. The printer
1 applies ink or toner onto the paper to reproduce the context of the document.

Throughout the printing process, quality control measures are taken to ensure
that the printed output meets the desired standards, this may involve checking for
2 color accuracy, print clarity, and any other specific requirements specified by the
customer.

After the printing is complete, additional finishing options may be applied based
on the customer’s request; this can include task such as binding, stapling,
3 folding, trimming, or laminating the printed material.

The finished printed materials are packaged appropriately to protect them during
transportation or delivery. This may involve using envelops, boxes, or other
4 suitable packaging materials.

The customer can choose to have the printed materials delivered to a specified
5 address or pick them up from the printing services provider’s location.
