INTRODUCTION
Narrator:
Inside a bright and spacious meeting room, everyone is seated. Mr. Huy
sits in the middle, smiling warmly as he looks around.
Mr. HUY:
"Thank you all for joining this meeting today. I’d like us to discuss the
differences in working hours between our Vietnamese and English teams.
Understanding these differences will help us collaborate more effectively.
Who would like to start?"
Narrator:
James raises an eyebrow, looking slightly surprised by this perspective.
NHÂN (England):
"That’s very different from how we work. In England, when the workday
ends, we leave the office immediately. We believe that with good time
management, there’s no need for overtime."
Chị Ý (Vietnam):
"Actually, I would like to have a better work-life balance too. But if the
boss assigns a lot of tasks and we don’t finish them during the day, we
have no choice but to stay late."
PHÚ (England):
"That’s why we focus on effective time allocation. If work is organized
well, everyone can complete their tasks on time without needing to stay
late."
Narrator:
The atmosphere in the room becomes slightly tense. Mr. Johnson nods
thoughtfully before speaking.
Mr. HUY:
"Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I can see that both approaches
have their reasons. So, what do you think we can do to combine these
styles while maintaining high efficiency?"
NHÂN (England):
"Or maybe we could work based on performance instead of hours? If
someone finishes their work early, they should be able to leave early."
Narrator:
Mr. Johnson smiles, sensing that this could be a reasonable approach.
Mr. HUY:
"That sounds like a great idea! I’ll consider these suggestions to ensure
everyone can work efficiently while feeling comfortable."
Narrator:
The meeting concludes with an open agreement. Despite the differences
in work styles, through dialogue, they have found a potential solution.
