Instructions:
Read each situation given and provide the requirements of each scenario. Write your
solutions and answers in the spaces provided for each item.
1.) Engr. Mae is a contractor for highway construction in Ozamiz City. He wants to have an
organized breakdown of the expenses during the one-week construction period. Your task is to
help Engr. Mae to come up with a very detailed breakdown of expenses for the highway
construction in order to solve the following problems:
3.) Mr. Suave’s collection of toy cars will not be available for sale. There are around 30 items of toy
cars with different prices. Compute the total price of all toy cars and count the number of cars with
a price that is less than 5,000. Be sure to include the month it was purchased in order to get the
sum of all items purchased for each month.

consisted of 4 digits, but during the second to last quarter of the year, his salary increased to 5
digits. This is because of his hard work and dedication to work and the favor for work promotion
that he spent in the company. What is the annual salary of Mr. Right considering that 35% of his
monthly salary goes to mandatory deductions for society?

are divided into 5 categories: row house, apartment type, bungalow, single-story townhouse, and
two-story townhouse. 10% of the units belong to row houses, 20% to apartment types, 20% to
bungalows, 25% to single-story townhouses, and 25% to two-story townhouses. The rate for the
first unit is 500,000, the second is 850,000.00, the third is 1,500,000.00, the fourth is 2,500,000.00,
and the last is 3,700,000.00. That is the rate for each housing unit. Compute the total income of Mr.
Right for all houses.
