OBJECTIVE: Design And Simulate A Signal Generator Circuit Capable Of Generating:
1. Square wave
2. Sine wave
3. Sawtooth wave
ABSTRACT:
OBJECTIVES:
This project aims is to find possibilities and capabilities in multiple signal processing and signal
control generation methods in many ways. It is used to generate various signals at frequencies
different capacities. It is used to produce different types of signals and frequencies for a variety
of purposes such as testing, troubleshooting, and designing. The advantage of its possibilities is
one of the main reasons why we use it for computers.
BACKGROUND:
The signal generation is crucial. It uses a signal generator for providing signals for well-known
assess performance of various electronic systems. There are different types of signal generators
and the signal generators have some characteristics. The first characteristic is reference
frequency which has to be defined and stable. The second characteristic is the capacity which
should be free of distortion. Sending, receiving, and processing data as signs of electrical systems
are the basis of the electronic control, communications, and computers. Most of these systems
deal with analog or digital signals to perform the function which is designed by. Most of these
systems deal with analog or digital signals which are designed for its performance function.
WORKING:
This signal generator is designed using IC 741. The 741 series are general-purpose operational
amplifier.
741 is an operational amplifier IC packed with many features. The IC is available in many
different packages. The number of transistors used in the internal circuitry of the IC is 20. The IC
can be used in a wide range of analog projects.
One capacitor C1 is connected to the inverting terminal of an op-amp with one pin connected
to the ground. One voltage divider (R2 and R3) is designed using two resistors & is connected to
output and ground at the non-inverting pin. Since differentiator of a square wave is sawtooth
wave so we applied a differentiator circuit to the output of square wave. Since integration of
sawtooth is sine wave so we apply integrator circuit to the output of sawtooth wave.

CONCLUSION:
A signal generator is one of the most important lab equipment for an engineer. The conclusion is
that we must obtain a sine wave, square wave and sawtooth wave by designing the signal
generator by which we are capable to adjust signal frequency and amplitude.
