PROCEDURE MEETING THE LEARNERS’ NEEDS

Introduction/Review:
The daily demand for copies of a movie magazine at a variety store has the probability distribution as follows.
Number of Copies X Probability P(X)
0 0.06
1 0.14
2 0.16
3 0.14

The teacher group the class into two. The groups will compete who can answer the question first.
Questions:
What is the probability that three or more copies will be demanded in a particular day?
What is the probability that the demand will be at least two but not more than six?
What is the probability that the demand will be less than four but not more than nine?
What is the probability that less than five copies will be demanded in a particular day?

Motivation:
An entry card was given to let the learners exercise their knowledge on summation. Student listen and solve on their notebook
Given the values of the variables X and Y, evaluate the following summations. to follow what the teacher is solving and
