Define Your Core Offer
Define your main product or service. Your core offer. The main offer that people will
purchase from you. What is it? What value will it bring to people? What solution or
opportunity does it provide for somebody’s problem?

Create Your Tripwire


A tripwire is a really low priced offer that exists to simply convert initial leads into ‘buyers’.
Create an irresistible offer to convert and qualify buyers. This builds the customer‘s
connection to your brand. You build trust and value with them and advance them into a
‘buying state’, which increases the chances of them purchasing your core offer. Your tripwire
can be an eBook, physical product, software, report etc.

Create A Value-rich Lead Magnet


A lead magnet is used to capture those visitors into your funnel by solving a specific
problem for your specific customer for free, in exchange for their contact details... at a
minimum... their email address! It’s one of the most important components of your growth
campaign because it gets people into your sales funnel where you then convert them
into buyers. Examples include: free software trial, free samples, free download, checklists,
coupons, free shipping, quiz or assessments, tests, swipe files, cheat sheets, eBooks, reports
etc.

Create A High Converting Landing Page


This is where your customers will first land on your site to grab your lead magnet and give
you their email address. You don’t need fancy or complex websites to do this. You can have
something up and running in minutes using templates from Clickfunnels, Leadpages, or
Unbounce.

Create Your Thank You Page


After people opt-in to your lead magnet from your landing page, you’ll create a thank you
page which ALSO acts as the Tripwire offer page. So after they give you their email address,
you thank them and welcome them into your world... and tell them to invest in the tripwire.
Create Your Upsell Offer & Pages
If the customer purchasers your tripwire at that point then you send them to the next page
where you present them with your core offer. You thank them for purchasing and then ask
them if they would like to ‘Upgrade’ or ‘Add to their cart’ your main offer that holds much
more value and offers more solutions and opportunities etc.

Validate Your Funnel


The above steps make up your ‘Sales Funnel’. Now, with that set up you should create a
Facebook/Instagram ad campaign to find your target market that converts. You’ll install your
pixels and optimize experiments and results before choosing a campaign with a profitable
cost per acquisition that you can scale.

Activate Engagement Sequence


At this stage, you’ll have traffic running to your site and a system to turn that traffic into
leads, and then into customers. BUT... for those people who give you their email address
for the lead magnet but then don’t purchase the tripwire, you need to nurture them by
engaging them with an email sequence.

Activate Activation Sequence


Similarly, you’ll also have customers who purchase your tripwire but fail to upgrade to your
core offer. These are qualified customers who now need to be targeted with a specific email
series automation that will educate and inspire them to upgrade to your core offer later
down the line.

Setup Your Profit Maximizer


This is where you really increase your revenues and profits by getting more money out
of your existing customers. You’ve already secured a transaction, now you want to find a
relevant and convenient upsell to increase the value of each customer. McDonald’s upsells
you into a ‘Meal’ deal if you buy a burger... Software companies, publications, and even
service professionals will upsell you into a subscription or block bookings after one initial
service, etc. What can you add as a profit maximizer or ‘continuity program’ as Russell
Brunson terms it?

Those above points are the main sections of a marketing strategy that you should have as
a minimum to get you started. If you want to dive deeper into the strategy to make it more

Conduct Business Intelligence


You need to know where you currently stand, what your business is, what problem it solves,
why you started it, how is it currently performing, what it’s lacking, and what it needs to do.
This will give you (or your clients) a clear picture of how each step above relates to your
business while making it a simpler process to complete effectively.

Conduct Customer Intelligence


The difference between good businesses and world-class businesses with high conversion
rates starts here. Figuring out exactly who your customer is before you build out your core
offer, lead magners, and tripwires is crucial. Without knowing, you’re going to waste a lot of
time and money.

Conduct Competitive Intelligence


Before you start to build out your ads, landing pages, and sales copy, spy on your competiti-
on to reverse-engineer their business models and their strategies to make it easier to create
your growth strategy! Why spend millions of dollars and years testing marketing campaigns
when competitors have already done the heavy lifting (and spending) for you?

Conduct Brand Intelligence


Having your core story and brand ready to go will allow you to fuel each of the upcoming
growth tactics and ensure that any marketing you execute has the strong foundations of a
