According to the applicable international technical standards, it is not responsibility of Indar to ensure compatibility of
the generating set components with each other. In accordance with these standards Indar is not responsible for the
vibration analysis of the complete genset needed to assure that the maximum permitted vibration for individual
components is not exceeded, lying the vibration characteristics safety outside the range of critical values, and to
eliminate structural resonances to minimize vibration.
GENERATOR MECHANICAL DATA
Sleeve bearings are designed for continuous operation at rated speed. Each of the following operation modes will
cause additional wear of the bearing shells and accelerate the degradation of the lubrication oil.
This will reduce the total bearing lifetime, being this negative effect more important for natural lubricated bearings. It
can be solved by:
a) Installing a jack-up unit for each bearing. Thus avoiding such additional wear and degradation.
b) Not installing a hydrostatic unit. Thus accepting additional wear of bearing shell and degradation of oil, but
counteracting by:
i. Including a bearing shell as spare part.
ii. Intensifying bearing inspection. Recommended to carry out every year instead every three year.
According to the applicable international technical standards, it is not responsibility of Indar to ensure compatibility of

Foundation requirements
- The generator must be firmly supported on all of its feet. Poor support can lead to increased vibration
levels of the generator.
