A. Preliminary Activities

●​ Students will identify the given card of numbers if what patterns in
numbers are inside the card.

The student will sing a “it's Math time”

6. Motivation
●​ The students will be divided into 4 groups.
●​ The teacher will show a mango tree with numbered fruits in it.
●​ The teacher will call the representative of their group to pick 1 fruit
from the tree and read the written numbers on it.
●​ The fruit contains if the number is a counting or skip counting pattern
in number.
●​ And the first group who finished the task will be a winner

COUNTING NUMBERS
- Counting numbers also known as natural numbers are positive integers that
are used for counting and ordering objects.

We have different types of counting pattern


1.Counting On - Starting from a given number and counting forward.
Example: 5,6,7,8,9,.…
2.Counting Back - Starting from a given number and counting backward.
Example: 10,9,8,7,6,5,…
3.Counting by 1s - Counting numbers in sequence, one at a time.
Example: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,…

SKIP COUNTING NUMBERS


- Skip counting is a mathematical concept that involves counting numbers in
sequence, while skipping a fixed number of counts between each number.
Example:
1.Skip counting by 3s: 3,6,9,12,15,…
2.Skip counting by 4s: 4,8,12,16,20,…
3.Skip counting by 6s: 6,12,18,24,30,

2.​ A bag has 3 notebooks on it. If 5 more notebooks are added every week, how many
books will be in the bag after 2 weeks?
Answer: 13 notebooks.
