PLANNED PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE TASK SHEET

1.You must disconnect and lock out the electrical supply before commencing any Electrical work on this asset, unless
directed differently in the instructions below.
2.You must ensure that proper PPE (personal protective equipment) is worn at while working and that safety
procedures are followed at all times.
3.You must set up appropriate SAFETY BARRIERS & SIGNS when performing any work.

ONLY NON-CONDUCTIVE LADDERS TO BE USED


SCHEDULE OF FREQUENCY Quarterly
EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION MDB/ SMDB / EMDB/ DB/ EDB

✓ Clean panel using a blower.


✓ Visually inspect equipment for unusual conditions, overheating, etc.
✓ Check for burnt wires.
✓ Check for presence of vermin’s and / or combustible materials.
✓ Clean the switchboard surface to remove debris and dust.
✓ Check lighting, sockets, emergency lighting of the room.
✓ Check for correct labeling of circuit, fuses, switches, and terminals.
✓ Check and re-tighten any loose bolts, screws and nuts in proper sequence.
✓ Check for presence of diagrams, instructions, and other similar information.
✓ Check the earth loop impedance of the earthing system.
✓ Check for unusual noise, hum or vibration.
✓ Check for adequacy of maintenance space.
✓ Note for abnormal under-voltage, over-voltage, three phase unbalance of current, etc. and rectify as appropriate.
✓ Inspect metal components for corrosion and if found, wire brush to clean metal and paint with an approved anti-
corrosion paint system.
✓ Record major operational parameters, including current, voltage, power factor, meter readings. Ensure that the
operating parameters correlate with the operating conditions.

GENERAL:
✓ Check all earth cables for tightness.
✓ Check if two fire extinguishers are available in the plant room and they are not out of service date. (CO2 & Powder)

Note: If values recorded are harmful to life or equipment contact supervisor


REPORT ALL DEFECTS TO DUTY SUPERVISOR AND IF THERE IS ANY DOUBT, PLEASE REFER TO THE MANUFACTURERS’ INSTRUCTION MANUAL.
