PROJECT PURPOSE
In summary, phase of Mines Solar PV project consists of four Solar PV plants, with single axis
tracking, within a total capacity of 202 MWp. In this regard, Lot – the Project – is constituted from
two sites (Including the main substation and grid connection infrastructure), both located in Khouribga
:
Ouled Fares site with a capacity of 105.85 MWp (nominal AC Power ~88 MW).
Foum Tizi site with a capacity of 31.152 MWp (nominal AC Power ~26.4 MW).

10. METHODOLOGIES
1 Megohmmeter 12000V P 1
2 Multimeter P 1
CABLES Stripping
The stripping of cables will be done to connect the lead of megohmmeter to conductor,
the length of outer sheath insulation that will be removed from the cable if 5cm, first will be marked
accordingly. And then catted using the wire stripper.
CABLES Identification
The cables will have a temporary marking which is an identification of cables and will
checked with multimeter.
CABLES Testing
1. Set the megohmmeter function switch to voltage 12000 V for MV Cables and 1000 V for LVDC Cables ,
3. Plug the black test lead into the negative (earth) jack.
4. Plug the red test lead into the positive (line) jack.
6. Connect the line test lead (red) to the conductor being tested.
Insulation 7. Connect the earth test lead (black) to the second conductor in the circuit or to the earth ground or outer sheath.
1 Resistance
8. Press the test button or turn the hand crank on the megohmmeter and read the resistance displayed (can take 30
secs).
