I.

PLAN TRAINING SESSION

1. What kinds of questions did you pose to yourself when you began crafting the
session plan? (Anong mga tanong ang inyong tinanong sa inyong sarili nang
simulan ninyong isulat ang plano ng sesyon?)

A: , I will establish the objectives by answering the important questions such as; What are the
learning outcomes to be achieve in Barista NC II? Who will be my Target Audience/group? What are
the trainees’ characteristics to be considered during planning? How will I identify their training needs?
How long is the estimated time/duration to complete the program and; What are the resources
needed?

2. From where did you source the responses to your inquiries?

A: I will need to prepare a Competency-Based Curriculum to plot the Modules of Instructions based
on the Cookery NC II Training Regulation as the Competency Standard. Then I will prepare the Pre-
training Forms to establish the Training Needs Analysis and Recognition of Prior Learning.

3. Please outline the elements comprising your session plan.

The Components of Session plan must be organized as follows; Qualification, Sector, The Unit of
competencies, Module Title, Learning outcomes, Introduction Learning Activities, Assessment
Teacher’s Reflection.

4. Which elements did you take into account when choosing training techniques?

The factors that I considered in selecting the training methods are Learning outcomes and its learning
objectives which focuses on acquiring new knowledge and enhancing the skills; Trainer, if I am
capable and comfortable using the chosen method; Content, may it be simple, concrete, complex or
comprehensive material; Participants/Audience, trainees characteristics and capacity to learn; Time,
or period needed to accomplish learning activities; Cost, are the realistic expenses associated with the
implementation of training and; Facilities and resources, that should be readily available to satisfy the
training activities.

5. In what manner did you structure your educational activities?

6. For that specific session plan, which evaluation approach did you opt for, and do
you believe it was a wise decision? Kindly elaborate.
7. In the development of assessment tools, how did you take into account both
validity and cost efficiency?
8. What was the significance of creating a table of specifications when you were
developing your written exam?
9. Share a couple of adult learning principles that consistently guide your thinking
when you're crafting a session plan.
II. FACILITATE LEARNING SESSIONS
1. List the tasks you completed prior to your student's arrival.

As a Trainer of Cookery NC II, first prepare and set up the 9 CBT areas/learning stations according to
training activities such as; a lecture in the Contextual learning area; Individual study in the learning
resource area; Video viewing or research work in the Computer Laboratory; Demonstration in the
Practical Work area and; Institutional assessment in the Institutional Assessment Area. Then check the
completeness and condition of all equipment, tools, supplies, and materials. It is also important to
ensure that all data-gathering tools, learning materials, and assessment tools for training are provided
before facilitating the training session.

2. List the occurrences within this specific session in the form of teacher and
student activities, without delving into the lesson content. Based on these events,
determine whether the lesson was teacher-centered or student-centered, and
provide a rationale for your conclusion.
3. Assess your selection of educational materials and determine whether you would
prefer to retain or modify them for your future facilitation of the same lesson. Justify
your decision
4. Illustrate the nature of the questions you posed during this specific session.
Explain the rationale behind the need to ask these questions
5. What strategies did you employ to secure active involvement from your students?
6. Which document aids you in organizing class activities, and can you explain its
purpose? Do you have any suggestions for alternative documents that could be
employed for class management?

7. Explain one adult learning principle that consistently guides your thinking when
you are leading a session.

Stimulating recall of prerequisite learning by administering pre-assessment using different data-

gathering methods such as a data-gathering instrument, Self-assessment Checklist, and pre-test

8. Which assessment instruments were employed in this specific session? Do you

believe there is a requirement for enhancements to these tools, and what are the
reasons behind your perspective?

In this particular session, I used assessment methods such as written tests administered to measure their
knowledge and comprehension relevant to each unit of competencies, demonstration with oral
questioning to test their skill and underpinning knowledge on specific tasks provided with all equipment,
tools, and materials. I also added interviews to probe on important key factors related to the
qualification. The type of questions I used are Higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) questions, designed to
engage critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving abilities.

9. In what manner did you deliver feedback to your students, and do you believe
there is a requirement to refine your approach?
I will provide feedback using the sandwich method, stating the positive and negative observations, then
provide recommendations for further improvement

10. Have you requested your students to assess the session? What insights have
you gained from their assessment?

At the end of the session, we encourage the trainees to evaluate the session by providing them
with evaluation tools/instruments. We then interpret the evaluation and we may adapt to some
adjustments on training method, nominal duration, and additional resources based on suggestions or
recommendations of the trainees to further improve the quality of the training program.
III. MAINTAIN TRAINING FACILITIES

1. Create a visual representation of the arrangement of your classroom, laboratory, or

workshop.

2. List the training equipment and machinery found in your classroom, laboratory, or workshop.
If there are numerous items, group them together.

3. List the primary maintenance and cleanliness tasks carried out by the personnel responsible
for maintaining your classroom, laboratory, or workshop. What enhancements would you suggest, and
what is the reasoning behind your recommendations?

4. Describe the process you use to request the acquisition of extra tools, equipment, and
machinery for your classroom, laboratory, or workshop. Are there any enhancements you would suggest
for this process, and why?

5. Could you outline the standard operating procedure (SOP) in place at your institution when
equipment is identified as non-functional? Do you have any suggestions for enhancing this procedure,
and what is the rationale behind your recommendation?

6. Detail the waste management system in place at your institution. If there isn't one, what
recommendations can you provide for establishing such a system?
7. Explain how your institution records and documents maintenance and repair activities for
equipment and machines. If there isn't a system in place, what recommendations can you provide for
establishing one?
