4.1 Transform
The machine can be transported by container, or truck.. The machine can unload to
several parts, in order to facility to transport and loading. Arrival the site, install to whole
complete unit.

4.3 Installation
4.3.1 Installation area
1. The machine must be installed in a covered, dry place. The environment must be clean
and free of flammable materials.
2. Good lighting is essential in order to carry out the work correctly.
3. It must be possible to connect an air extractor duct to the air outlet A. The fitting of an
active carbon filter is recommended.
4. The floor must be flat, with a load bearing capacity of at least 3000 kg/m2.
5. Easy access for loading wire rolls and unloading springs is essential.

5.4 Calculating the length of the wire and adjusting the shape of
the spring
The wire length in a spring is defined by the diameter and the number of coils.
1. Calculate the theoretical wire length for the spring to be produced using the basic formula
bellow:
L=2π (De+d)+ n√[3.14(Di+d)]^2+T^2}:
n = total coils - 2
De = inside diameter of end coil
Di = waist diameter mm
d = wire diameter mm
T : spring pitch mm
H = height of the spring mm (fig. 5-3)

2. Input the value into control box and make the unfinished spring..

If the height of spring does not amount the demand, the pitch may be adjusted.

The blade is of weld on the blade seat. The fixed blade 1 is mounted on the fixed block.
The mobile blade 2 is mounted on the cutter lever 5. The clearance between fixed blade and
mobile blade is 0.1~0.2 mm.(fig.5-7)
Clearance adjustment:
Loosen the screw 3, move the fixed blade 1, measure the clearance between fixed
blade and mobile blade. Tighten the screws.

Springs made by the coiler must be enter into the cavity on the chain transfer, so the
location of the coiler must be adjusted.(fig.5-8)

1. Altitude adjustment
Loosen the screw 1, up or down the sleeve 2 within the coiler base, after adjustment
tighten the screw 1.
2. Move or offset
Take off four screws and pressing plate, move or offset the coiler to position which is
need, finish install four pressing plate and screws, tight the screws.

The speed of the swift is dependent on the swift motor. There are two kind of the speed
for the swift, the normal speed and the accelerated speed. Setup for the normal speed must
according to the diameter of the wire bobbin, the normal speed lower little than the feeding
speed need by the coiler. The accelerate speed faster than the normal speed. When the
normal speed does not pitching the feeding speed, the wire guide wheel (2) raise up quickly,
the sensor (1) on, than the speed switch to the accelerate speed. If the feeding speed become
too fast, the guide wheel (2) will be down, the sensor (1) on, the feeding speed switch back
to the normal speed.(fig.5-10)
1. Estimate the normal speed, if the rating of production of 80 springs/rain using rolls of
wire with a mean diameter of 500 mm, this speed is equivalent to 53 rpm.
2. Setup the normal speed on the swift inverter.
3. Setup the accelerated speed on the swift inverter.
4. Adjusting the swift speed, when the change on the roller diameter, or on the rating of the
production.

When replace the belt, it is need to remove the upper cover plates 2. At first, loosen
the screws 1, to release the tighten pulley. Then loosen and remove all the screw on cover
plates2 and then remove the cover plates 2. Remove the belt 4. Replace new belt. Install
the cover plates 2, tighten the screws, adjusting the tightness of the belt.(fig5-11)

Press and hold the valve core 2 of inflatable shaft, release the compressed air of
inflatable shaft. And remove the non-woven roll 1, replace the new fabric roll, and then fill
with compressed air. See 5-13.

Loosen screws 1, adjusting the position of ultrasonic model. After adjustment, tighten
the screw 1. Loosen screws 2 and 3,adjusting the position of welder。 (fig.5.16) Adjust the
distance between the ultrasonic model and welder, make sure their spacing is about 3mm.

The belt must be tight, and has been adjusted in factory. If belt is loose, can tighten by
the screws (fig5-17).
In order to produce the spring which diameter is less then 50 mm, the carrier should be
adjusted. Loosen the screw 1, 2, swing the bolt 3, make sure the carrier 4 go down, to
reduce the value S.

Adjust the sensor 7 in fig.5-17, you can adjust the zero position of the spring transport
mechanism. The conveying support 2 on the transport mechanism is located at the bottom of
the coil spring machine 1 which spring output, see fig.5-18

The machine be lubricated mechanical oil, and supply by one automatic oil pumps. The
right side pump used to lubrication of main parts of the machine. The oil tube tied to the all
lubricated point. The oil should be applied with mechanical oil No.32.
Oversea customer,please choose the lubrication oil for bonell and pocket machine as
below sheet.

7.1 Operation panel introduction
7.1.1 Main panel

1. Swift step forward button: Press this button, the swift forward until the button is released
2. Swift step reverse button: Press this button, the swift reverse until the button is
released.Press this button while the machine is running, and the thread stand will switch to a
low speed gear.
3. Stop button: Press this button to stop machine after finishing the current spring.
4. Emergency stop button: In an emergency, press this button to emergency stop the machine. It can
be set to completely power off the machine or press to stop the fault processing immediately, which
will be explained when ordering.

Left picture, A5X2 is the wiring mark in the circuit diagram, the gray block means the
control system has no signal input. SB3 is the graphical symbol for this button in the circuit
diagram, red fork means this signal makes machine stop. Release the button, will show
like right picture.

Left picture, the red line in first half of the bottom means this mechanism is running or
not ready yet. The green line in second half means no alarm occurred.
The middle picture means an alarm occurs.
Right picture means no alarm and get ready.

After machine power on, the initial screen as shown above, the user can select the
language at the lower right corner, choose the proper one to enter the production interface.
7.2.3.2 Production interface
Production interface is divided according to different part of machine, each interface
related to it’s own parameter settings and manual operation.Parameter settings directly
related to the shape and quality of a spring.Should be careful, because correct parameters
are important not only for spring quality, but also to the stability of the machine ,Pls study it
carefully.

16. Set the desired number of production springs : The machine will shut down
automatically when the setting value here is greater than 0 and the 15th item value is greater
than the value here.
17. Pocket detection : Setting to detect the pocketing result or not.
18. Spring detection: Setting to detect the state of the spring on the conveyor or not.
19. Continuous / single:Set the operation mode of the machine in auto mode. In continuous
operation mode, the machine work continuously until the stop signal works. In single mode,
the starting button is released after the machine starts.,The machine stops at the end of the

This interface is for the debugging operation includes coiling, conveying, pocketing,
ultrasonic welding station .
1. Auto /Manual:Switch the machine in auto and Manual mode.
2. Continuous / single: Set the operation mode of the machine in manual mode. In a
continuous operation, the machine operates continuously after receiving the following 3,4,5
commands until the stop signal is received. In a single mode, the machine stops after a
single operation.
3. Coiling: Press this button in Manual mode and the machine starts coiling
4. Conveyor: Press this button in Manual mode, the machine begins to convey
5. Pocketing: Press this button in the Manual mode, and the machine begins to packing.
6. Transport function: Turn on this button,the coiling activates transporting.
7. Pocketing function: Turn on this button, the transporting activates packing.
8. Welding function: Urn on this button,the packing activates the Welding.
9. Welding: No function only

first 3 > first 4 > first 5 > first 6 > the cumulative number of the first 7 records 1
4. Production efficiency : Shows the efficiency
5. Production efficiency clear to Zero: The statistical efficiency was recounted according to
the current > first 1 > first 2 > first 3 > first 4 > first 5 > first 6 > first 7 records of
production efficiency.
6. Cumulative number of production springs 2: Shows the current cumulative number of
springs produced 2 and the cumulative number of springs produced by the previous 7
statistics 2

power on, time B is the time of diaphragm welding. It will Convert to time A when
continuous work reaches the setting value for item 10. If accumulate downtime reach the
number of seconds specified in item 11.,it will Convert to time B.Above is to ensure perfect
welding.

24. Pocketing testing time point: The bigger the value of this parameter,the pocketing
testing working start more delay. It always set “1600”
25. Force the pulling pocket length: It is the pulling pocket length at the production
monitoring 2.
26. Spring pocket length: Set the pocket length ,Spring A,Spring B ,Spring C have to set
respectively.
27. Pulling pocket forward percentage: Set the percentage about the pulling pocket forward
28. Arrangement backward percentage: The percentage and No.27 decide the output
tension of spring string .
In this page, it can set the unwinding mechanism parameter, and show the statues about
the mechanism.
1. Automatic / manual: Set the machine to switch between automatic and manual mode.

14. High speed unwinding time limited: When unwinding with middle or high speed reach
the setting parameter, it will alarm.
15. Connecting fabric heating time: Set this value, the fabric can finish welding at this time.
16. Connecting fabric cooling time: Set this value. the fabric can recover strengthen after
welding.
In this page, it can manual work with correction mechanism and set the correction
mechanism parameter, and show the statues about the mechanism.
1. Automatic / manual: Set the machine to switch between automatic and manual mode.
2. Move left: Press button will move to left.
3. Move right: Press button will move to right.

9. Correction motor working signal
10. Center position delay: correction mechanism move to the center position, will working
more distance to ensure the correction mechanism in the middle position.

12. Correction time limit: Correct mechanism away the center position distance.
13. Correction frequency limit: after correction mechanism working , if the fabric can not
be back to the center position in set frequency, the machine will be stop and alarm. If you
set “0”, machine will not alarm.

fabric mechanism parameter, and show the statues about the mechanism.
1. Auto / manual : Switch between automatic and manual mode.
