CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION
The restaurant industry is highly competitive, with businesses constantly striving to attract
customers, retain loyalty, and maximize profits. Zomato, a prominent food delivery and
restaurant discovery platform, generates a vast amount of data related to customer preferences,
reviews, ratings, and restaurant attributes. This data provides a unique opportunity to
understand consumer behavior, market trends, and operational inefficiencies.

However, effectively analyzing this data and translating it into actionable insights can be
challenging. Restaurants need robust data analytics solutions to make informed decisions about
pricing, location, cuisine offerings, marketing strategies, and customer satisfaction.

In an increasingly competitive global restaurant industry, the key to success lies in

understanding consumer behavior, market trends, and operational bottlenecks. Platforms like
Zomato serve as a critical interface between customers and restaurants, generating an immense
volume of data daily, such as customer reviews, ratings, order patterns, and geographical
