III. Understandings

Teaching interns are placed in the real world of work called


Cooperating Schools. They are placed under the tutelage of the
expert teachers in the school community.

The Cooperating Principal has expectations of and from


prospective teachers who are placed in their school for teaching
internship. The role of the Cooperating Principal is to oversee the
effective implementation of the teaching internship program. The
orientation with the Cooperating Principal is a must for him/her to
discuss the school’s policies and procedures to be followed to
