Skills: listening, speaking, recognition


Resources: Real objects, flash cards, morning meeting chart.
Methodology:
Students will be invited on carpet for morning meeting.
 Four components will be discussed.
Greetings: Assalam-o-Alikum. Good Morning. How are you? (Take students response.) `
News of the day: What is the day today? Today is ------------. (students will repeat it)
 Days of week poem will be sung with students.
 How is the weather today? (Show cut outs of weather) today is Sunny day.
 How you are feeling this morning? (Students responses)
Sharing: Today is ______ Birthday. Today ______ is absent.
Talk time:
 New theme will be introduced to the students the map of the world.
 Students will be shown a globe and will be asked about it. (Responses will be taken).
 They will be told that world map can help you find your own country and learn about its
neighbor.
 Students will be told some new facts that the world map shows most of planet covered in water.
 They will be asked; what they mean by land and water parts.
 Students will be told that blue part means water and green part means land area.
 The teacher will show different flashcards of places.
 Students will be encouraged to tell their birth place.
 They will be asked to point their favourite place on the map. Is it a beach, a mountain, or a city?
 They will be encouraged to share why they love that place.
 They will be told about facts i.e cold and warm regions.
 Students will share the names of countries or cities they have visited.
 They will be asked about the names of countries and cities where their relatives live.
 Students will be encouraged to share their favourite place.
 Students will be encouraged to recall their knowledge about the map of the world.
Assessment for learning: Students will be assessed by naming and talking about different places on
Globe.

Date / Day: 24th February 2025 /Monday Topic: Introduction of sound ‘z’
Learning Outcomes: Students will be able to:
 recognize and make the phonetic sound of ‘z’
 name the vocabulary of letter ‘z’.
 trace the letter ‘z’ with correct formation

Skills: recognition, speaking, phonetic awareness, tracing, vocabulary building.


Resources: Flash cards, real objects, textbook, ICT, Crayons.
Methodology:
• Pep Talk: Importance of playing outside will be discussed.
• Prior knowledge: Students will be asked about previous sound ‘y’ and its vocabulary.
 Introduction
 Jolly phonic song will be sung through LED (ICT).
 Letter ‘z’ will be introduced through the writing script.
 A box will be shown to students and the sound of ‘z’ will be emphasized.
 Students will be asked to tell who visited zoo? (sound of ‘z’ in the word will be
repeated)
 Friends of letter ‘z’ will be called from the class. (Students will be called in role-play)
 They will be encouraged to say a few lines about their getup.
 Vocabulary of letter ‘z’ will be memorized through flashcards and real objects.
 Real objects/toys will be shown such as zip, zebra, zinger, zero and the sound of ‘z’ will be
emphasized.
 Students will be asked to think about more objects that start with ‘z’.
 Textbook page will be shown to them and teacher will name the vocabulary.
 Beginning sound of each vocabulary will be emphasized and students will repeat it.
 Formation of letter ‘z’ will be shown through LED (ICT)
 They will be asked to trace it on the table and in the air.
 Each table will be given playdough and they will be asked to make the letter ‘z’ with it.
 Textbook page no # 123 will be shown to them.
 They will be guided to hold pencil with proper grip.
 They will be guided to trace the letter and colour the picture in their book neatly. (Draw their
attention towards the ant on their book and ask what is it doing?)

Methodology:
 Pep Talk: Talk about climate changes and its preventions.
 Prior Knowledge: They will be asked to tell what is the meaning of similar?
Introduction:
 The song “One Two Buckle My Shoe” will be played on LED.
 Students will be asked to tell the math board in the classroom.
 Students will be told that the number 10 is a new member of the number’s family.
 They will be asked to show 10 fingers.
 They will be encouraged to count 10 objects like, 10 pencils, 10 nuts, 10 books etc
 They will be directed toward the whiteboard and different 10-object
flashcards will be shown to them.
 Flashcard/picture of squid will be shown to them and they will be told that squids have 10 legs.
 Students will be guided to draw 10 legs of a squid picture.
 Real objects will be shown to them and they will be asked to count them to 10.
 Demonstration for the formation of the number 10 will be given by the teacher on the board and
in the air with 2 fingers.
 Textbook page no 127 will be shown to them.
 Students will be explained the correct way of tracing the number 10.
 Students will be guided throughout the lesson.
 They will be encouraged to connect the dots properly to make a number 10 neatly.
 Students will be guided to hold pencil with proper grip.
 They will be encouraged to follow the direction of dots.

Methodology:
Introduction:
 Material of learning centre will be introduced to the students.
 Students will be divide into groups according to their abilities, interest, needs.
 Sample of each activity will be introduced.
 Demonstration will be given by the teacher and steps of the activity will be shared.
 Students will be guided to bring material from the learning centres.
 They will be monitored and guided during the activity if needed.
